I wonder how axl runs around in those boots. Everyone else wears sneakers. Nothing big, just something I've noticed

I wear vintage black label Frye boots from the early 1970s and even just walking around get to me sometime, how he manages boots continuously on stage is beyond me.

  2. I thoroughly enjoyed the Vegas shows, but after that it has seemed the anticipation isn't what it was leading up to the Las Vegas shows. I enjoy going to the shows, but for me it's starting to get boring with little to no changes at any of the shows I've seen. I'm going to the Minneapolis show since I have to already be there and the Little Rock show since it's close to home, but I don't think I'd invest the money into going to a show like I did for Vegas without it being some major changes. Give me AFD5 or some new material and I'd be all for making another trip like Vegas.

It looks like Mpls has sold really well so far.   Will no doubt be awesome.

Hope so. I had taken it off my list since they added Little Rock. I've got to take my daughter to Minneapolis on the 31st, so might as well take her to her first GNR show before she goes back to her moms.

  4. Add me to the list of attendees. Close enough to home to still visit family, catch the Minneapolis show and make it back in time to drive from MS to Arkansas! First concert I've been to at War Memorial, but great stadium as far as football games go. This will be the first time that I've actually looked forward to going to War Memorial Stadium, MSU always plays horrible in Fayetteville

I suppose we could get something like this: Birmingham (AL), Greenville, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Wilks Barre PA, Boise, Fargo, Albuquerque, Rosemont IL, MSG, Little Rock, Sacramento, Portland, Kansas City, Staples Center, Columbus OH, Las Vegas NYE, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, Biloxi, etc.

but I'm still hopeful that there will be a big LA Appetite celebration.

I'll take Biloxi and Birmingham all day long and save me from traveling on this leg(if there is one) Probably wouldn't matter, for some reason or another Mississippi always gets cancelled or not included.

  6. Go ahead and add me to Nashville, Atlanta and New Orleans. I had surgery shortly after the Vegas shows and hope to be cleared when I go back for what should be my last follow up on 7/6. So, I anticipate being able to still make these shows, at the very least, I will make New Orleans since it will give me a longer time to heal from the disc fusions.

Can I do the same with Apple TV?

Yep, watching it on mine right now on a jailbroke apple tv 2 as well as a Apple tv 4 in my living room. This is probably the easiest method. Hope it helps. For those with Fire TV's this will work just as well. I do believe the stream is limited to 720p, but good enough for me.

  8. I think you'll be fine. My first GNR show was in 1987 with my dad and it's a memory that will last forever. I'm not sure seeing them in 2016 will have the impact it did as seeing them in 1987, but if you and your son both like GNR then I say go for it! It'll create a memory that will last a lifetime. I agree with the other posters though, stay out GA.

My excitment for this show went from a 15 to a 2 over night.

Yep, same here. Especially with the announcement of 3 shows all within driving distance of me. From what I've seen, they sound great and I suspect Vegas will be even better, but its like the wind got knocked out of my sails. I don't know if its because I was expecting to see the first reunion show or if its the fact of what was supposed to be a solo trip has become a family vacation.  I'm sure once I get to Vegas my enthusiasm will go back up!

Looks like MGM has delayed the Parking Fees they were going to start charging until at least May:

So, for those of us that are staying at MGM properties,(Monte Carlo) there will be no additional charge for parking correct? This will be my first time renting a car in Vegas and wasn't sure how the hotels charged for parking.

ill mention this again: this is the first time GNR is playing the gulf coast in 24 years.. they cancelled a show in Biloxi in 2010 0r 2011. this is big. think of how many fans around this area they have amassed in 24 years. I do think just the bill of Duff/Slash/Axl could be a big draw down here. we are within 2-3 hours of a lot of major cities that, unless they have traveled, haven't seen GNR in 24 years. Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Jackson MS, Mobile AL, Biloxi, Gulfport, etc etc. I think someones management looked at this and thought it needed to be rectified.

Are you from Mississippi? My first GNR show was them opening for Motley Crue in Jackson in 87. If memory serves me correctly the last scheduled GNR show was the one at the Coast Colisieum in Biloxi in 02 that was cancelled. So, I agree with you a 100%, if they do a show at the Superdome there would be enough demand from a 200 mile radius to fill it. Mississippi in general usually fills most rock concerts as it's something that the area as a whole is lacking. (other then New Orleans) I remember them cancelling the show in Southhaven in 2011 I believe it was, but did they also have a show on the coast that was cancelled as well?
