I agree that the $999 price tag is steep but the $179 one is in my opinion fairly reasonably priced!

As for the content on the discs, while I think it's a shame that Cornchucker and OIM isn't on there I get why they did it.

I also wish that the Arkeen songs like Crash Diet and Just Another Sunday should be included on the box set but I totally get why they aren't, they aren't GN'R songs and they have been having lots of problems with the Arkeen estate recently.

Why is nobody talking about the book btw, I'd pay $99 just for that!

Overall I'm happy with the box set, would've liked it even more if they put a AFD Tour show (an uncirculated one) on the BluRay but that's just icing on the cake! :)

I was really excited to hear a polished version of "Just Another Sunday", it has always been my favorite of the unreleased demos. I had no idea there was a riff between the Gnr Camp and Arkeen estate.

  2. I don't get how anyone can complain about the setlist. If someone told me 3 years ago that Axl, Slash and Duff were gonna do a reunion tour, play for 3+ hours a night including all their hits, Chinese songs and even the deepest of deep cuts "Coma" and then throw some covers in there I would be ecstatic. Sure there are plenty of other songs I would like to see them do but appreciate what we have right now because it is fucking awesome.

It seems he told the security guards did not pull a fan out of the crowd. After that "Hey" Gio went there and it looks like he said to leave the fan there.

    Pretty amazing Nightrain,btw!!!

    go to 3'14"

It sounds/looks like the security and Axl were telling the fan to take the sign they were holding up down.

What are folks doing about parking?  I hear it will be limited due to the Wells Fargo lots being closed for the DNC, and I wasn't about to pay $100+ for VIP parking.  Think there will be openings in the third-party lots around the area?

I'm thinking about taking Uber as well, but that could be pricey since I live in the suburbs and there's guaranteed to be surge pricing when the show lets out.

The jetro lot right next to the linc opens at 1 according to their Facebook page. I should be down there right around then. The jetro, linc and CBP parking lots should be more then enough to hold everyone.

beers, binoculars, (they were ripping them from under the seats in our section and throwing them.) someone even tried to light a fire.... what a crazy night that was!

Not gonna lie, being young and dumb I was guilty of throwing whatever I got my hands on. My buddy actually took a chair home with him and will be bringing it down to our tailgait Thursday. I also vaguely remember someone trying to light a Christmas Tree on fire.

Ok, great. Is there any point in attending the parking lot for two Norwegians without a car then? :P

I will be with a group of 20 or so, so you could always party with us or there is a huge bar basically in the middle of the parking lot called "xfinity live" a lot of people go there before concerts and sporting events to eat and grab a few drinks

True, I have never been to a big show in the USA, but been to loads in Europe. Never seen this. It is always standing on the field, as it should be. I would rather stand 20m further from stage, than sit closer. But well.. nothing to do about this.
Is there still pre parties at the parking lots? Is that a common thing?

I will fly in from Norway for a few of these shows, so I'm curious to where it would be best to spend the hours before the show... In a bar, where they have beer? Or in the parking lot bringing beer?
Do they sell beer and food there, or do you need to bring your own? I heard that the alcohol politics in Pennsylvania is pretty hard, so is that even allowed? Or do the police just ignore it when it comes to events like this?

I will be at the show in Philly, partying in the parking lot/tailgating will start as soon as the parking lots open. They pretty much let you do whatever you want in the parking lot as long as your not fighting, throwing bottles etc. I believe the alcohol politics  you are talking about is the PA liquor laws where beer distributors only sell beer and State Liquor stores sell hard liquor/wine, pretty stupid law but it will not effect the tailgating before the show.

  8. Whats Axl say at the end? "Thanks for hanging in there with us, talking politics from yesteryear, hope to see you sooner rather then later" <----------- is that right? Also Ron is a fucking trooper, always has been. It's strange to me that he agreed to these tour dates as fucked up as he is. I hope he didn't have his hand forced.

I believe he said "again my apologizes for yester' years"

  9. There is a chance I may have an extra ticket for tonight, it sounds like a friend of mine is going to have to back out last second due to the show being so late and a work obligation he has tomorrow morning. If he does back out I would rather sell it to a real Gnr fan on here rather then a scalper, so PM me if interested I should know by Noon if its available

Ok the ticket is officially available, I'm not necessarily looking for full price but something close would be good. I will be getting down there around 7 or 8 and prob hanging out in Mcgillicuddys untill 9 or so. Again Pm me if interested and we can work something out

  11. I was just at the showboat last weekend, they have a burger joint called Johnny Rockets right across from the HOB box office that you can order food to go, so I'm sure you can take it in line with u, also there is a nice size bar next to the box office and about 30 casino tables in the HOB casino. I really wish I was going to this show but I can not afford 2 weekends in a row in AC and I will be at the Monday night show in Philly, enjoy everyone I'm sure it will be a great show

  12. The way it is now is fine, although I'd rather Estranged be played nearer the end. I'd also like to see Catcher in the Rye being played

I'm not complaining about the show they have been putting on at all, three hour show is more than you can ask for, I would just like to see them switch the setlist up every now and then
