  1. For the folks that saw the Pittsburgh GnR/Metallica show I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS. :)

    1-How old were you then?

2-How old are you now?? Haha

Me first... it will be 20 years in July. o.O

    25 then ... 45 now.. Boo!!

I was 18 then. I wish I knew then that it would be the last time I'd see Axl, Slash, and Duff together.

I was 14 when I saw them In Wheeling. I would love to rewind time to see that one again. I had no idea what I was really seeing. The original lineup in all their glory. Damn!

  2. I saw Guns and Metallica in Pittsburgh, PA. As far as my memory serves Faith No More came on while it was light out as did Metallica. It didn't take Guns long at all to come on after Metallica. I don't ever remember being tense or worried that Guns wouldn't take the stage. It was THE best concert I have or will ever have gone to.

I was at that one in the 4th row! Unbelievable...

It pissed down rain during Metallica adding to the mayhem. I don't remember start times, but it was still daylight when Metallica finished.

  3. Chicago, Silver Spring and Atlantic City presale is Wednesday, February 1 at 10:00am EST, with public on-sale Friday, February 3. Tickets and VIP packages for all six dates will be available at gunsnroses.com.

I dont get it, but atlantic city and silver spring is 10eastern now, unless chicago is gonna be at 10

The presale code for Chicago is electronic - according to Live Nation. It just makes me nervouse because the New York shows sold out in no time yesterday in pre-sale.

NY sold out? I went onthere and did a mock purchase just to see if my account was working and it put 2 VIP tickets in my cart.

  4. Everything I'm seeing on Livenation is that the presale for Chicago is Thursday. I'm crossing my fingers hard that the planets align and I can attend that one. It'll involve a plane flight from Pittsburgh and a hotel stay, but this will be worth it!

Livenation presale could be tomorrow, but the gunsnroses.com one is this morning, it says it very clear in the article gnr sent out, but those will only be VIP, which is what i want.

I'll be damned... I'll have to look again. Thanks for the heads up! This is getting crazy.

  5. What would be really cool is if the original artwork for the cover was used. Oh, and some bonus tracks like Shadow of Your Love or some of theothers that have been mentioned. Maybe a cut of the original Don't Cry? I used to have a copy of that somewhere on a cassette but have lost it in house moves.

You can download that demo. It was on the Don't Cry Single as well. I got it via torrent.

    Thanks! I'll check it out.

  6. Some people on here have mentioned that Guns would draw much better if Slash and Duff were in the mix and some argue otherwise. That's a no brainer! There is no doubt that shows would sell out. I am a firm believer that if Slash and Duff were involved with CD it would've sold many more copies. Much of the US has given up on Guns because it's not the nuts and bolts of what most people view as Guns N' Roses.

Just for the record, I love CD. I like anything with Axl's voice. I also like VR albums and Slash's solo stuff because I enjoy Slash's playing. However, most people aren't open minded and they never gave CD a chance without the main characters. It sucks but it's reality.

Friends I grew up with that were raised on AFD like many of us never even bought CD because "it's not Guns N' Roses". So, until they get together again Axl will never sell enough records to be considered the greatest band on Earth again.... neither will Slash.

I still love G N' R as they are today, but unfortunately I am in the minority among rock enthusiasts. I'm not sure that will ever change. It would be like Aerosmith without Joe Perry. Or Led Zeppelin without Jimmy Page. Or the Stones without Keith Richards. Or ACDC without Angus Young. Or... well, you get the picture.

All great bands but mostly known for great frontmen and great guitar players with character.

  7. Sounds to me like Axl is happy. At this point, that's what matters. I, for one, support anything new and former members do. Speculation will continue until the HOF induction. At this point, it's a wait and see situation.

Let's pretend for minute that Axl, deep inside, was excited about reuniting for the HOF induction. He couldn't lead on that he was. His current lineup would fall apart and the tour would end. That would be the final straw for many Guns fans. I'm not saying that is what is going on, I'm just throwing an idea out there. Like he's playing it off or something. Of course, he probably has no intentions of reuniting and is pleased with his current lineup. Only Axl knows...

I know this, I'm excited to hear more new stuff. If it's with the current lineup I think it has potential to be really good. Convincing those with closed minds to give it a chance is another obstacle. Many people I know never gave CD a chance without Slash and company. I have the minset of "it is what it is" and I just enjoy hearing Axl sing.

  8. Hi everyone, this is my first post so I figured I'd start with my Guns history...

    1. 1988 - Wheeling, WVa opening for Aerosmith. I just wish I remembered more of it. I was 14 years old and had no idea what I was in for. I rank it as my favorite because that is when Guns became my obsession.

    2. 1992 - Three Rivers Stadium with Faith No More and Metallica. I was 4th row, that was awesome!

    3. 2011 - Youngstown, Oh - The new lineup rocked just as well as any version.

    4. 2004 (I think) - Cleveland, Oh - I hate to randk this show because it was not very good. I only rank it because it was one of the 4 times I've seen them. It was a very forgettable show. Axl was good, but I was not impressed with the rest of the lineup.

I truly hate to rank the top 3. All were awesome shows. Nothing beats Guns live!
