  1. It was a great concert and the band was on fire. Axl (and the rest of the band) seemed very professional and did their job perfectly. It's great to experience Axl being this mature and just kick ass and deliver a top performance.

However I did miss that him (or some of the other band members) was engaging more with the audience. I know they had a long night (around 3 hours) and had to keep on going. But it would be nice if Axl talked a bit to the audience and gave a more personal experience. Is that a weird wish? In fact I would sacrifice one song (of that long setlist) for him to make some joke or whatever. Haha, maybe I'm just weird in that sense.

Anyway it was a great concert! I'm proud to have experienced the band giving a top performance. The sound in the stadium was unfortunately really bad at times, but I could live with that.

If all they're doing is touring with existing songs then fortus is fine. I would never give izzy equal share of the profits. Casual fans really only know axl and slash anyway. Most don't even know Duff.

You're only worth what someone's willing to pay you, and I doubt Izzy has gotten better offers lately.

Jesus, are you are fan of a company or a band? The guys deserves the same. Another thing is that Duff is hugely overrated when it comes to be known by casual fans. Regular people almost just knows Slash and Axl Rose anyway.

  3. Sad isn't it? Well I'm realistic, of course money is important and they would want to earn as much as they can. No big deal. But by refusing to pay each original member the same amount and instead paying them based on how "important and recognized" they are in the mainstream public eyes just smells to much of a corporate business which of course will make the less-paid band members angry and feeling under appreciated.

Unfortunately for Izzy, he isn't all that important to this tour. The tour can get along just fine without him. You may think he is the most important songwriter and guitarist Guns N' Roses ever had, but for the tour to run smoothly... Not needed at all. He doesn't have much to bring to the table in this case, so his value is unfortunately less.

But he is part of the original lineup and that should be enough. It all comes down to how you look at it and your perspective of it. To me it sounds like you (and Axl, Slash, Duff and the people behind them) look at Guns N' Roses purely as a corporate brand and if so; Yes Axl and Slash should earn the most, then Duff and then the other band members.

But should we look at Guns N Roses as a corporate brand? and not just as a band? Is that to much of a romantic feeling? Slash even talks about this in his book as I recall, like Guns N' Roses going away from the good old days as a band. The original lineup is considered to be those 5 guys, so in reality, in my world, and probably in Izzy's too, they should all be paid the same amount of money.

  5. Some of you guys thinks it's just about "money". But you forget about the symbolic meaning the money has. If you are paying Axl, Duff and Slash more money, then you are automatically saying that they have more importance and value for the band, Guns N' Roses. And come on, some of you, seriously. Izzy is by far just - if not more - important to Guns N' Roses in form of the song writing etc.

Some of you even arguments that he quits the band in 91'. Well, yeah, Duff and Slash did so as well just a few years later. So where do we put the line in terms of that? Weird argument for paying you less. Then Fortus should be the highest paid in the band next to Axl.

Oh. Those of you calling Izzy egoistic and centric for not thinking about the band. It's a question about dignity and working with your fellow "friends / co-workers" who basically are saying that you are not worth as much as you. Because in the end, if Izzy really didn't think about dignity, he could probably earn so much more money by joining the band now. So it's obvious not about the money itself but how the band see him. Izzy have my full support.

  6. I can't believe any of this. Here I'm sitting in the other part of the world blasting GNR live tracks through and I got shivers down my spine. This is history in the making. I suddenly feel more hungry than ever to hear GNR once again every minute of my time. Axl is happy, Slash is happy, Adler is happy, everyone around the band is happy and we fans are happy. Stay positive friends, all of this is the final waiting hours since 93'. Embrace the time, because we fans have waited for a long time of this.

  7. Hey guys.

Just a little gossip update. Axl Rose is looking more happy than ever. He picked up a danish girl this weekend, and flew to Las Vegas for her birthday party. Her name is Ditte Hapel.

Nothing major. But nice to see him smile, and as a Gunners fan, every kind of news is something to look at.

  8. Yup. Rumors seems to be valid! Just spreading the word. See ya.
