  1. Instead of going through 130+ pages I'd like to know as much info as possible on these two tracks. I'm assuming the songs were recorded during the Chinese Democracy sessions around 2000 with vocals recorded during that era with Slash & Duff recently contributing; but that's just a guess. Any info you guys could offer is appreciated.

  2. I started a previous thread in the General Section which I'm going to post here for now then go back and look to see if it has already been answered and delete it if it has...

I've been listening and comparing the tracks from the Las Vegas 1992 show included on the Use Your Illusion Super Deluxe to the Live Era '87-'93 album.

Nightrain, Welcome to the Jungle, Rocket Queen, Yesterdays and Paradise City are all supposed to be from the Vegas show on 1/25/1992 according to the Illusion and Live Era's notes. However, out of these five tracks, the ONLY one that is not a different performance is Yesterdays, the other 4 are definitely NOT from the same show so either a mistake was made on the Illusion set or the Live Era album.

As far as The Ritz, all I've found is Dust N Bones which seems identical.

After reading this thread, I guess I found the answer; Axl re-recorded vocals for the Live Era album.

I know there are tracks on the 2 separate Deluxe versions of the Illusion albums that contain live tracks not included on the Super Deluxe version.

Could one of you guys create a definitive list of all tracks that are on BOTH the Illusion Super/Deluxe sets & the Live Era album?

    Thanks!

Could anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

@KeifferGNR doesn't upload proshots? Only audience recordings

Yeah upon further watching I realized he compiled whatever available clips there are to create complete shows. However, a good portion of what I saw looked pro-shot. Here's an example...

There are many parts of this video that look pro-shot. Go to about an hour & ten minutes in.

  5. I've been looking around YouTube lately for some GNR clips from their recent shows & this guy KeifferGNR has uploaded numerous pro-shot shows all in their entirety. I heard GNR prohibits anyone from recording their concerts. Are all of their shows being pro-shot & this guy somehow gets them & uploads them or is he recording them himself? Anyone have any info? Thanks.

I don't see why it's sad to have his old vocal coach helping him again.

That means that he is motivated for all this thing. And this motivation surely stems from being again with Slash and Duff (and the ACDC thing as well).

Who said it was sad? I didn't even know he had a vocal coach.

That's the right attitude. Don't really understand these "OMGZ IT'S THE BEST AXLS SOUNDED IN 20 YEARZ11!!1"-people though, especially if rasp is their criteria for a good voice. Like I said, these are great reunion shows, there's no need to lie to yourself in order to enjoy them.

For Axl, yeah, the rasp makes HIS voice. All the songs (You Could Be Mine, Nov Rain, Jungle) he has performing with the high pitched voice for years are now raspy again like they should be. I'm not claiming to have seen EVERY Axl performance of the last 20 years and by no means tried to start a debate here. My point is that he sounds more like he used to in the late 80's early 90's now that he has reunited with the band.

  7. I've been watching Youtube clips for hours of the tour and Axl sounds... like Axl. I think this is the best he has sounded in 20 years  I'd like to think that it's due to the return of Slash & Duff that let Axl get the rasp back but sadly there must be some vocal processing going on right? Even songs like Rocket Queen & November Rain where Mickey voice was at an all time high sound great now. What do you guys think?

  8. I got them. I think it might be in Japan, but it was the UYI tour concerts. A must have for GNR fans.

Yes, I know these are the UYI Tour videos. These are different from the ones that were released years ago. They are advertised as having dts audio which the original ones do not.

  9. Yes, that's one of them.

....also, it looks like the Illusions 1 & 2 DVD's have been re-released with dts 5.1 audio. That would make for a nice upgrade. Real?

Like a said unofficial you buy them and find out for your self. If the want the best sound quality get the lazer discs

Well, this is the point of my post, to see if anyone has them so I don't have to take a gamble and find out for myself. As far as the LD, I don't have a LaserDisc player, and the audio is probably the same as the DVD's.

    Its uncompressed.

Still, going from 2 channel AC3 to 2 channel uncompressed PCM really doesnt seem worth it to me, besides, I don't own a LD player so the point is moot. Getting off topic though, these new discs are supposedly 5.1 dts and it looks to me like the original Illusion DVD's were re-released AS WELL as DVD-Audio discs. Every seller on eBay that has them for sale are located in Korea though which leads me to believe these are bootlegs.

  10. Yes, that's one of them.

I just came across these two separate discs on both Amazon and eBay. To be exact, they are titled 'World Tour Live Use Your Illusion I' and 'World Tour Live Use Your Illusion II', respectively. What I'm curious about is they are supposedly DVD-Audio discs with 5.1 dts. I LOVE multichannel music & if these are legit I would snag them up in a heartbeat. I would post a link but I am not sure of the rules, but they are easy to find on either site. They are both listed as imports. Is anyone familiar with these discs? Thanks!

That one mate if so save your money i brought one of them and the picture quality isnt as good as the real thing http://www.amazon.com/Guns-Roses-World-Tour-Illusion/dp/B007IODI46

There shouldn't be any video for the DVD you linked. That is a DVD-Audio disc, audio only.

  12. Yea Val, I agree, great seeing Izzy.

Also, back to HD thing, I', pretty I saw it in HD as I have the HD comcast box w/the special hd cables. It also said HD in listing and filled whole widescreen, as HD broadcasts do, without need to zoom in. HD channel as well, Palladia is, as in one I didn't have before new box and my older tv here with old digital box still doesn't get.

I don't think anyone is debating that it was broadcast in HD; clearly it was. The debate was what the resolution was. I believe Palladia broadcasts in 720p, but I could be wrong and it could be 1080i. Either way, they don't broadcast in 1080p (Nor does any channel in the US, for that matter), so it's not considered Full HD.

    The resolution was 1080i.

  13. I'm Tivo'ing this show on Palladia right now. After I transfer to my computer, edit out commericials and re-encode to h264/mkv I'd be willing to create a torrent and seed if anyone would be interested.

I'm interested. But still be for HD or full HD

It wasnt broadcasted in full HD. Full HD is only available on BluRay. It will be 720p with original (5.1) audio.

Update: I finished transferring from Tivo to PC and editing out commercials. Final product wouldve been 1 hr 27 min. Before I re-encoded, I decided to give a quick check to see if any torrents of the show were available. Found one right off the bat which runs at 2 hrs 20 min, so it would be pointless to finish and upload the one I recorded tonight on Palladia. The one I found has Sorry, Rocket Queen, Estranged, Better, 14 Yrs, This I Love, Street of Dreams, Another Brick in the Wall & Dead Flowers all of which were not on the Palladia broadcasting. I wish Palladia would stop airing such heavily edited shows all the time. They did the same thing with the Vegas show.
