  1. Yeah. So no more of this "You weren't at the show, you don't know how his voice REALLY sounded" shit...

Except you weren't at Brisbane and you DON'T know how his voice sounded there.

So stop thinking that a shitty mobile phone recording is in anyway similar to how he sounds live.

He was excellent on Wednesday night. The end.

  2. Angry was on a lower key ...pretty much his fault..Axl tried to sing it his way and it got messed up...it's only a rock n'roll live gig kids..shit happens

There was something wrong with Angry's mike and earpiece. He wasn't even singing for nearly half the song and he dropped his microphone down beside his leg at one point, forcing Axl to jump in and start singing it. The whole vocal performance of Nice Boys was off because of that, but no one person can honestly be blamed for that.

Overall Axl sounded tremendous last night. He's had weak performances of late, but last night, at Boondall he was simply awesome. They all were. If you can't tell that from Youtube videos and you weren't there, then save your breath.

They were fucking on fire. It was awesome and my ears are still ringing from it...

  3. Um, no. I'll bitch about whatever I want, but thanks for the directive.

And if Axl doesn't want to release new music, he should grow some balls and say it point blank.

Why? Would that make you happy? Isn't Axl allowed to be undecided on a particular issue?

I'm fairly certain the music is his to release if he wants or doesn't want to. The sense of entitlement in this place is breathtaking at times...

  4. Would you, in this seemingly optimismless era as far as the release of the follow-up to Chinese Democracy, support a brand new scheme to secure unheard material or do you feel such a measure is too early and are willing to wait on Axl?

It's been four years since the release of Chinese Democracy with no official statement regarding the future of GN'R's discography.

I personally feel such a scheme to be unnecessary as I genuinely think a new Guns N' Roses album is an inevitable reality. How about you? If rumours of a below-board heist were underway would you report it to the camp out of fear for the integrity of the next release, turn a blind eye out of desire for more Buckethead, or actively facilitate the plot in whatever way you can?

Well no one here has the balls to admit they illegally download, or downloaded the leaks...hey i did, but i also bought chinese democracy. we all did.

I'm not gonna risk my life to leak shit..but if shit leaks, oh im downloading it.

I downloaded the leaks, Ilstened to the tracks on Youtube, I bought the album in physical and digital (iTunes) form too. I've been to half a dozen shows since 2007 (only so few because they've only been to Australia once since then) and have bought plenty of merch. My "stealing" of those tracks didn't cost GNR one cent. I paid for a movie ticket to go and see the O2 concert (which was inevitably refunded) and I'll pay to see them next year, should they turn up downunder.

I don't think the leaks hurt GNR's sales at all. Did anyone here NOT buy CD after they heard those leaks?

  5. tomato ... toe-motto

No it isn't. To you and the way you misquoted it, implies the band is at an imminent risk of breaking up, when that was NOT what Dizzy said and clearly not what he meant.

Your post was nothing but p*ss weak amateur hour trolling.

No he didn't, Dizzy said he hopes GNR lasts another 20 years, but it might not. Thanks for completely misreporting what he said, the context he said it it and confusing your opinion with the real facts of the story however.

lol don't know why Dizzy hopes the band lasts for another 20 years, Axl would be 70 and people think his voice is shocking now at 50..

I agree, I can't see Axl performing at 70, Tom Jones style but Dizzy's point was that he hopes the band lasts a long time. To me, the 20 year comment was just a throw away expression representing that idea.

  6. According to a recent interview with Dizzy, he's unsure how much longer the band will survive.

No he didn't, Dizzy said he hopes GNR lasts another 20 years, but it might not. Thanks for completely misreporting what he said, the context he said it it and confusing your opinion with the real facts of the story however.

  7. Melbourne missed out last time eh?, but i take it they'd have to be doing other capital cities if they came down.

Brisbane was left out too, but i just went to the Sydney show instead lol.

Really hope that they either do Sydney again (they should, last time they were there they rocked the shit out of it) or come do a show in Queensland...they can skip Townsville...bunch of fuck head bogans.

Yep bogans who all thought Axl was lip syncing, just because they were incapable of understanding his dual layered vocals on some CD songs...

Apparently Axl's a failure if he can't sing multiple vocal tracks simultaneously live in concert...

  8. Axl, many many times, has admitted publicly that he's had trouble being on time for anything his entire life.

How is that not taking the blame?

It seems like he's made a truce with Izzy, Duff, and even Steven (until he started talking shit aain). I think it's only Slash left right?

A truce is when two sides agree to stop attacking.

How do you have a truce when only one side was attacking? All those years Slash lied about Axl and Axl said nothing, how could Axl be responsible for a truce when he wasn't doing anything?

And now that Slash ran out of steam, why is a truce even needed?

He still puts being late down due to a reason. Is that reason carelessness?

Maybe he can't fully explain it and that's why he can't give a reason. He knows he's in the wrong, but he himself won't acknowledge and accept that fact. I beleive he can't acknowledge his own wrongdoing, therefore he perceives he's not to blame.

Carelessness, inability to be organised sufficiently, plenty of reasons (not excuses) as to why he's late. He is apologetic about it and has said sorry. If that's not taking the blame I'm not sure what is. He has admitted there is nothing else holding up the show, the majority of the time.

He has admitted that part of why CD took so long, was he didn't like many of the songs that had been written at that point. "I was given a heap of guitar songs and expected to write lyrics for them."

That is admitting blame, but apparently not enough for some.

Why do I get the feeling that he could release 3 brand new albums tomorrow, all of which were better than Appetite, apologise for everything ever done wrong in the entire world and accept the blame for the whole lot of it and plenty of you "fans" STILL wouldn't be happy?

  9. Great to see Axl doing more interviews.

Should lose the blaming everybody else for everything that goes wrong thing though.

No kidding. How do you think this comes across to most people?

50 year old Axl just blamed an ex girlfriend who dumped him 20 years ago for his inability to write songs...I mean I sorta get mentioning Slash and Duff (par for the course for him) but to blame a chick who he hasn't seen in 2 decades in a national interview...Odd.

He was talking about his songwriting during the break-up of the "old" band and the release of CD. Try reading what is actually said...

He was talking about the effect that the break-up of his marriage had on his songwriting hence the "writers block" in the title of the article. Axl take more than his share of blame ("I've never been able to be on time etc...) it'd be nice if some other, older members of the band did likewise, so publicly.

Great to see Axl doing more interviews.

Should lose the blaming everybody else for everything that goes wrong thing though.

He does blame people when things go wrong.

INCLUDING himself (see TMS episode talking about being late etc).
