  1. Been a while since I posted here. I've been waiting basically my entire life to see this band. I was too young to catch them in the original form and the Texas shows got cancelled in the 2002 tour. Finally! I had row R in section 101 when i first searched and when I went to purchase them - there was a livenation 'error' (same thing happened to me with Ticketmaster for AC/DC in 2009 and fucked me out of 3rd row seats.). So I did a second search and got Section 100 row T seats 39 and 40. I bought the insurance in case I found better tickets somewhere and then I saw the pit password on here. Damn glad I bought that insurance. I'll see you guys there.

  2. so i know no one is going to believe me. Whatever. Just a interesting tidbit. My brother flew out to LA for a job interview with Geffen. He got the job. What that consists of is basically going to concerts for free of Geffen artists and writing reviews of the shows and more importantly the crowds to see how "mainstream" and "popular" their artists are. So while he was there....he jokingly asked his boss....."So.....Chinese Democracy......early 2008 right?" and the guy said......."thats the plan.....if not......we aren't going to put it out.....and no one will pick him up." and the guy walked off. So take that for what you want.

  3. Just to throw this out there. I talked to a guy (who i dont know, just a random worker who was in charge of the music department) about how stuff works in the back, getting shipments and how long they sit in the back til its time to be put out. He told me that every now and then, when its a big release, that they dont even get the shipment til the morning before the store opens of its release date. Playstation 3...which i think comes out on the 17th.....there is a truck coming in at 6:30 am with the PS3's on there. So....yeah.....there is still hope.

  4. they dont have to worry about people who printed the the cd's or packaged the lables telling. Because no one did it. Axl and Merck have been locked up for the last year, burning each individual cd of his laptop.....printing the jackets on his deskjet 320C. That silver haliburton lock box that axl was carrying around.....was his special lable maker so he could go ahead an lable a few hundred cds every night after he got done partying.

In all seriousness. I think this could be real, not that any of yall give 2 shits what i think. But im going to best buy tomorrow. One of my fraternity brothers works there. I'm going to ask him if they got a huge shipment of cd's from some unknown band that says dont open untill the 20th. He can't and won't to me. Gotta love the brotherhood.

besides the fact that BETTER isnt on there

  6. How many people have actually been to a show this year that are posting things like: "Greatest show of '06", etc, etc?

If memory serves correctly, opening night at Hammerstein was just as good, in fact, much better being there LIVE! Most of the other videos of shows I've seen are just as good.

GNR in 2006 is just plain good live. Doesn't matter what show you catch :D

This show was no better, or worse, than any other show in '06.

Well, I was there for all four Hammerstein shows, and I still think this one topped them. I think the band was much tighter - especially Ron (who was a little "lost" during the Hammerstein shows if you recall - but was totally comfortable during this show) - and Axl's voice was at the top of his game. However, I do agree that the Hammerstein show where they played CITR was awesome.

whoa whoa whoa.....they played Catcher In The Rye at one of the Hammerstein shows?

  7. I for one,am not convinced that the songs we have heard will wind up on the cd....not all of them anyway.

Expect Axl to pull some aces out of his sleeve.

If Axl has anything better then ...well....Better...or TWAT on the album....i believe i might just shit my pants.

  8. They dont deserve to cover this song.

    reasoning

    1. The kind of music they make.......that pop rock crap...."the reason"...your fucking kidding me.

    2. you should only cover a song if your gonna do it justice I.E. GnR's Live and Let Die & Knockin on heavens door, whoever did that cover of "in the air tonight" i think it was non point and so on.

It wasnt a good cover....but it wasnt a bad cover. I just dont like hoobastank...and dont think they deserve to do it.

  9. I know its too late for the show on the 14th....but i want one like in Almost Famous's last post. So if anyone would be willing to snag me one on the 15th or the 17th in a Medium...pm me and we'll arrange shipping and payment..i'll pay for shipping and all that good stuff.

    Thanks
