  1. I have to be honnest, I've seen them at the Graspop and I was afraid about this show. The Graspop reviews were awful (as usual, voice, too long...).

    It was a good show. Really good. First part was really great. Second part, a lttle bit of Mickey on classics songs (as usual) like SCOM or NR.

    The stupid quotes about an "in time" Axl (or other reflexions about the physique)  reflect that many people are stuck to the 90s.

    My fav :

    - Bad Obsession

    - Reckless live (really great IMO)

    - PTU

    - Patience

    - ...

    They made the job. I like this festival setlist btw.

    As much as I love the song you have to add Rocket Queen in there too, he just cannot sing the majority of the song... And it's a popular so g but it's not SCOM or NV, so it could be dropped at least partially

    Agree with you but you can't touch SCOM and NV...

  3. Glad to see that the reviews aren't so bad.

    IMO, songs to remove from the setlist (about Axl voice) :

    - Slither ;

    - Better ;

    - Estranged ;

    - Live and Let Die ;

    - Street of Dreams ;

    - Coma ;

    - Prostitute ;

    - This I Love

    The show would last less. So what ? All this songs aren't generally played the same evening.

    The general impression would be far away better IMO.

    Because it’s not the usual GNR crowd. Most Brits don’t realise how Axl’s voice has changed. My impression talking to friends etc is that most don’t like his clean voice, never mind Micky with intermittent cracky rasp. I think it might get bad reviews. I think ther’ll be a lot of nasty comments about Axl’s voice. Could be embarrassing ☹️

    That's what happened here in Belgium unfortunately. I have to say that it will be hard for fans like us. Prepare for the worst. For me it's the last tour. Seen them 10 times since the reunion but last week at the Graspop it wasn't good. I must be objective. But I don't care. I will go two times again next month, take some good time and fuck the haters.

  5. Heard him in Belgium in 2016 and after 6 times during the NILT. For me Axl with ACDC > Axl with GNR. As simple. Maybe because :

    - songs are easier to sing than Gnr song (like Coma if you see what I mean) ;

    - Axl was spending less energy with ACDC than the Gnr.

    I don't know.

    But, there is still haters... Don't know why because it sounds great. I hope they will continue.

    Nijmegen had merch outside. Not all and no lithos, but I bought my show shirt there. But yeah, depends on the venue, I think most I've been to, didn't have merch outside. In Nijmegen, I think everything was still available after the show too.

    Yes sorry, I'm wrong. But I had to buy litho so had to wait to go inside. I've also tried to buy the Nijmegen t-shirt but they only had s size. My bad.

    My Front row experience.

    Fun fact is : I went to the show sayin' "oh, this time, i'll enjoy the show, i'll take almost no pictures and only record it in my memory"
    I got home and realized I took 510 photos....

    Same as you ! I can't no stop "Oh fuck, Slash & Axl just in front of me !" " Oh fuck, Duff take a pose"

    No video this time "oh fuck, I Have to spot Madagascar"... :lol:

  8. Haven't read all but I've been to 6 shows in 2017-2018 and it really depends of the organisation.

    In Werchter last year I was frontstage, stuck to the barrier (there was no EE, just golden circle), arrived very early (not far from my home) and it was possible to move but it was a festival and it started early.

    In Paris last year, with all these stupid people, I was front, just behind the EE but I had to move back when they sing CD because I was too crushed.

    This year in Gelsen, I was just behind the barrier and it was possible to move to take a drink for example.

    In Nijmegen I went with my son this year. No problem, we were at about 2 meters from the barrier and we have arrived during Gojira, at 17.40, not in the front but in the Slash side at about 5 meters from the catwalk. It was a nice crowd, you could move and go back after.

    Overall now, the gnr fans are older and some of them (like me) come with their kids. There were some at each show. So they are generally quiet, except in France where all the assholes convine a meeting.

    For the Merch, it depends. In Nijmegen, there was no merch outside. So take care... I think if you want the barrier, you have to arrive very early and don't buy merch but run to the front. Remember that lots of time, there are people who wait for 1 day outside...

    Sorry for my english.
