  1. This thread is a big LOL

But to answer the first post and getting back to that... i don't know if it has been bleaker than ever, between 97 and 2000 was pretty bad as well... from 2003 to 2006 was bad as well... i guess Axl has a tendency to have panic years and he just disappears

  2. why did you refuse to answer my question?

Because it is not relevant in any way and because your posts annoy me and I don't want to get into an obnoxious debate about bets, money, carebears or any of that other garbage a debate with you always ends in.

LOL carebears... that was funny as hell hahahaha

It's a great way to start my day at work... to come to a GNR forum and see all MSL's posts lol

  3. I am trying to figure out though what it would take to stop the majority on here from whining all the time

    NOTHING.

There is absolutely NOTHING that would stop the majority on here from whining all the time.

The majority on here are bitter ex-fans who would strongly prefer that GNR cease to exist.

They have other issues in their life that cause them to need some sort of emotional release for all of their negative energy and GNR is their target because they used to love GNR and now they don't.

It's like someone that spends years bitching about their ex-girlfriend rather than finding a new girlfriend.

Even though we don't really see eye to eye, i can admit you're a smart guy, but you're not that good on psychology...

Let me explain why... you say everyone that comes here, has issues with their life and needs GNR to get on with it and blast everything they have negative in it here, so they can get on with their day.

If you go back a few years... even though it's true that we have some fans that never accepted the fact that Axl and the rest of the band fell apart and that Axl continued with Guns N'Roses, BUT, and this is a big BUT...you also know in your heart that most of the today's "enraged" fans, came post the Chinese Democracy release, which essentially:

    1. Didn't meet some fans expectations

    2. Wasn't promoted properly

    3. Was completely disregarded by Axl and the fans consequently felt that we didn't have CD in stores because Axl really wanted it to happen, but because there were a lot of songs already out there (which some of them were a consequence of your actions (Thank You!) )

    4. Axl went on a hiatus right after the release and probably not even his dog knew where he was...right at the very moment when people needed Axl to be there, to speak up, to promote his stuff... to tour. (He did that years later, but that was too late as always).

Suddently the 50 fans you had that were against anything Axl was doing even before the new album came out... became 1000.

Nobody can blame that on the fans...the fans were there waiting for Axl to patiently come out of his cave...

You can't really blame Axl either...he doesn't really need to be ethical or professional, "he's a rock n'roll outlaw" in his own words...and he's filthy rich.. so he can just afford not to give a shit...

But why should fans be the ones to blame, for his pathetic actions as well?

Fans have all the right to be mad with all Axl actions, maybe they shouldn't care so much... and with that i agree...but they have all the rights to be mad at the situation, even though Axl doesn't owe anyone a dime. The professionalism he owes it to himself though... and he's not the most professional musician i came across....

  4. Besides Tommy already said that it's a nightmare to play Riad for all of them.. so i don't think they'll ever play it again.

Do you have the source for this quote? I want to add it to the database: http://www.a-4-d.com/t189-riad-n-the-bedouins#240

No. i don't keep quotes really. But i think that was an answer to a fan that asked why Riad wasn't being played a while ago. Not sure if it was by email, twitter or whatever, but i remember Tommy saying that it was a nightmare doing that song, because it would never be a great performance.
