    The Doors vs The Rolling Stones

    Musically: The Stones.  They could write great rock n roll songs as well as great ballads like Angie and Wild Horses.  The Doors were good but sometimes the keyboard sounded very monotonous but the blues songs they did were very good.

    Lyrically:  The Doors.  Jims lyrics were in a completely different league than The Stones.  The speech part in The End is very strange but very fitting to the song.

    They were both great in different ways.  Depends on the mood, really.  When I feel energetic, I put on Satisfaction.  When I feel relaxed, I put on The End.

    they are very different bands, with very different front men.i can't imagine jim morrison "dancing" like mick jagger does, just as i can't imagine mick saying he's a lizard king with the same conviction that jim used to say....

    old news for the newbies of music.....rolling stones, aerosmith, queen are all sell-outs.

    i honestly don't give a damn about it.

    well dont whine about them going on stage with justin, britney and eminem then :heart:

    there are more ways to be a sell-out...not just singing with assholes...

    i never thought keith richards, the lord of cool, would ever let something like this happen...gross gross gross......

    Satisfaction is the best on the list, But I like mother's little helper

    mother's little helper is fantastic!

    beatles are the single most overrated BOYPOPBAND ever.

    look at them, all dressed the same, same haircut, same dancesteps, singing cheezy songs for 12 year old girls who were screaming so loud they didnt even hear the band perform (which is proof they werent there for the music, watch the concerts folks).

    they had the best ever PR management and cos they were the first like that is how they got big.

    the real men listened to the rolling stones while the girlie guys loved the @ss of lennon and mccartney.

    they started the rock n roll! after them, the bands started to play heavyer...you didnt want that a revolution like the rock n roll started with motorhead, did you? things happen step by step.
