  1. What are you favourite memories from Donington if you were there?

Mine was probably during GN'R, when Izzy came on stage I was like WOAAAH, then I started the first Izzy chant "IZ-ZY! IZ-ZY", man that was fun. :)

Another good memory was during Metallica when the crowd kept copying James Hetfield for a minute, when he jumped, everyone in the crowd jumped. He must have felt liek God lol

  2. DUST & BONES or/and PRETTY TIED UP played with Izzy... ahhh....

Ahh back in the good ol' days, those songs are what GN'R are all about, well that and a bunch of other songs :P

  3. I believe it in my heart. Here's a compliation of all the facts and rumors...

Slash visits Axl in the middle of the night to "chat."

Slash supposedly leaves VR, but refuses to make any formal statements.

Matt meets Axl in New York and suddenly has nothing but nice things to say about him.

No new guitarist for Axl with only a few weeks until his tour starts. That means he'd have to be bringing in somebody whose already pretty good at rocking the GnR catalog.

Slash signs with Axl's management company.

Richard Fortus pulls all the GnR tour dates from his site, but refuses to say whether or not he's still in the band.

Axl's management company refuses to say if they've found a new guitarist. They want it to be a "surprise" for the first show.

The band and management have gone out of their way to make ammends with their fans - tight presales, a string of small venue shows right before the big tours start. As a long time GnR fan, I can say this is highly unusual behavior.

I'm sure you can pick apart any of these occurances. I'm not going to argue. I'm just going to suggest that there are a shit ton of coincidences all coming together around the same time.

Those NYC shows would be designed to give hard core fans a treat and to make a huge statement just before the tour. They'll be all over the news. By the time they wrap up their shows in Europe and head back to the states, there'll be crazy fucking demand for thier tickets.

If you can, trade your tickets for the first NYC show. The crowd is going to blow the fucking roof off that place when Slash (and possibly Duff and Matt) takes the stage with Axl. Rock will be saved for future generations. GnR will be the biggest band in the world again.

I've convinced myself that this is going to happen. If it doesn't, I might just have to hurl something at the Predator - I mean Axl.

Shut up, you're getting my hopes up lol :P

  4. I was listening to TWAT and Better today and I've come to realize that while to the GnR community these are heartfelt ballads by Axl, to some they may be considered emo. (Simply because anything that is somewhat slow and doesnt blatantly overuse power chords is considered emo) Now thats all fine but i fear that if Better and/or TWAT become hits (which i see they have the potential to do) that we will see a rush of myspace scene kids with "For this love, There Was A Time" or "Now I Know you Better" as their quotes. Quite frankly i don't like the thought of Emo kids sharing the same taste in music as me, but the more i thought the more i came to realize that for Chinese Democracy to be a statistical success there must be some sort of songs to appeal to those people.

Don't get me wrong i want GNR to dominate the world with their amazing solos and spine tingling lyrics (because lets face it nothing in the last 5 years compares to November Rain) But the thought of going to see GNR live and rocking out near Emo People is frightening and slightly disheartening. Fortunatley this only applies to us in the United States because our rock scene (although hard to admit) is utter garbage...

So i was wondering how some others feel about this....?

I like emo (music, not fashion) and Guns N' Roses are my fucking life :fuckyou:

  5. My friend just said this to me:

Here is the evidence i have, would be helpful if anyone has anything to add:

    1) Slash saying Chinese Democracy has some great songs

    2) Axl speaking on the phone with Izzy Stradlin - they are meant to be sworn enemies

    3) Duff being spotted in public with Axl Rose

    4) Duff, Axl and Slash all spotted at the Biffy gig

    5) Axl stating that he has no problems with slash at all

    6) Ross Halfin, rock photographer, saying that at Download the original line-up of Guns would be playing.

I say this gives a pretty strong case

Could anyone confirm the 6 points please?

  6. Why does everyone think that Gibson only have Les Pauls?! They have many good guitars except from Les Pauls and SGs, as for Fender have other guitars than Telecaster and Strat.

I would probably say Gibson at the moment because I haven't played on many Fender guitars and I'm in no position to judge a guitar since I've only been play for 4 months.

I'm going to get an Ibanez anyway, then after a year I'll probably get myself a Jackson rock4
