No, that era, that fire within him is long gone.

He probably started SSRIs or other depression drugs in 2009 or so

Would explain the weight gain and sudden lack of want to release/create music(from what we can tell on the outside)

Those drugs numb the sad but turn you into a zombie and I'd imagine creativity takes a huge hit

I think you're all kidding yourselves contemplating single release vs album release ... It's sooooooo so obvious that what they're doing is drip feeding us songs to add excitement to each new tour lol this has nothing to do with artistic / creative integrity

If you think casuals, who are the ones who make tours happen, even know about the existence of the general you're delusional lol

He plays the intro to By The Sword so lightly and tentatively, like he's nervous to mess it up. He seems to do that with a lot of clean parts these days.

Probably reading too much into it, but I wonder if Stockdale will be on the new album as a guest singer.

By the sword is top 3 post-VR Slash songs IMO hope they play it in Dublin this month :D

Well bba, I haven't listened to GNR in a long time, except when they inevitably are on the radio. They are a bygone phase for me, as is usually the case with most bands, not that, that's a bad thing.

I'm shocked people still listen to gnr daily after 20+ years and shit lol I had a phase from 14-19 when I listened to gnr daily but now I'd only listen to them when I'm drunk

  5. When I saw them in Ireland in the summer almost everybody there was a sweet child o mine/paradise city casual who didn't know or give a fuck about 90% of the songs in the set.

People are severely underestimating how many people are willing to drop 100 euro on a ticket for a band they wouldn't even listen to unless their hit came on the radio.

  6. Think im done seeing Guns at this stage. Will be 100 euro for a ticket next time round for the exact same show just worse again because Axls voice will be a year older. It sounded painful for him when I saw them in the summer, not mickey just painful on his poor old chords at this stage.
