"Izzy would you like to say anything?"
"No."
awkward pause
Anyway it's just Axl being Axl.

Beetlejuice is the sheeeet. It cracks me up in such a dark way and Alec Baldwin looks goooood in it.

I've been listening to a shit-ton of Journey all day, but right now it's "Still They Ride"

Since I'm a new fan, I can't really chime in on this, but I think you guys are mostly right. The band is in a slow decline - in my opinion - right now. I don't think they'll be around for too much longer.

John Williams and James Horner are my two favorites. Someone above mentioned "Avatar"...that one is beautiful. It has some breathtaking moments.
Hans Zimmer is very good, too, although familiar themes of his seem to come out in every score. James Newton Howard has a few good ones. Alexandre Desplat needs to be mentioned; his scores for the King's Speech and Benjamin Button have a very simple beauty to them. Nicola Piovani wrote a beautiful score for "Life is Beautiful." Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings soundtrack needs a mention here as well. Finally, Randy Newman wrote a pretty powerful score for "Seabiscuit."
Ok, I love movie soundtracks a lot. A lot.
This song is beautiful. Tears

That's so fucking awesome.

The Chronicles of Narnia were my favorite books growing up. The movies fuckin' butchered them. I was so disappointed.

I loved it. I cringed a little at the addition of *some* of the modern soundtracks (Lana del Rey fit well). The book is one of my favorites and this movie captured my feelings about the book better than the Robert Redford version. That one always seemed a little bland to me, and I wanted to punch Mia Farrow in the face throughout the movie. Leo as Gatsby was heartbreaking. I can't wait to buy the DVD and see it again!

"The Empyrean" by John Frusciante is one album that is definitely a headphone album. Headphones take it to new heights.
Re: listening to music while in a bar playing music...that baffles me. I can't listen to one thing and have something else blaring around me.

I like seeing Izzy in so many songs.

Ugh, I would kill to be there. Great little show.

One of my great-grandma's favorite songs:
My grandma and her peers loved the oldies. Mid to late 40s, 50s and 60s pop standards were their favorite.

LEAVE FORREST GUMP OUT OF THIS

Recovery isn't that bad. I'm stoked as hell for the new record, though.

From Dinner for Schmucks:
Julie: "The CIA doesn't invite people to dinner to make fun of them."
Tim: "No. The CIA kills people."
Paul Rudd's delivery on that line is priceless.

Chandler was the best.
Chandler is fucking awesome! Favorite character for sure. Phoebe reminds me way too much of myself.
