Slash is NOT confirmed to be in this as of yet. And no one will know for sure until 12/8 it is all speculation
Neither is Axl, for that matter. Could be one of the recently AI-cleaned up recordings of John Lennon

I'm gonna take a guess as why it is a two-parter:
Against all odds, I think the band (and TB) was trying to be nice to hard-core fans. This whole time they had "the General" and "Monsters" (which I'm inclined to agree it fits the description of Soul Monster - better than Me & My Elvis) as two separate working pieces. They also probably know that we all thought the cellphone leak was The General because it has orchestration in the background.
Going back to the concert intro, I really don't find the chord progression on Monsters/phone clip, but just the General.
They might have predicted our reaction if they had just released The General - where are those awesome high piercing vocals we can hear on the cell phone clip??? Why they scrapped the best part????
So to merge both pieces as "The general and monsters" was their way of getting out at once all music that we previously thought was only "the general".

Not a fan as well, but I just noticed how the ascending first half of this solo matches that Hard Skool part just before the last repetition of the chorus

Not sure if it has already come up before, but in the end, that apple music link that was picked up by google was the real one, wasn't it?

I would be curious to see how Axl would turn elevator music into something...
make it an exclusive, tying in with their brand new line of GnFnR lifts

I actually like the dolphin sounds just after the solo (if that's what they are). Gives some consistency to the Illusions era, haha.
I think it's Axl doing ooooh hoooohs with a heavily processed voice

I think the radio and the TouchTunes version is slightly sped up comparing to spotify/youtube
Also think I hear slash going for the solo in a descending motion just before the end of the chorus. Then, there's the high note, and back to slash on a low note. It blends in nicely.
And (that's the farthest reach) I think I hear the "save me"s really buried beneath the first lines of the chorus.- 1

A lot of recent uploads (as in the last couple of months) of the village sessions seems to be gone from youtube as well.

So let me get this straight. The "Perhaps" Magic 8 Ball photo was also made-up by some troll? Since the apple music was already proven to be fake. Just wanted to make sure.
Not saying that the apple link is true, but it comes up as an "official" suggestion when I google "guns n roses perhaps". Clicking on it gets me a page not found error though

The red text with no outline, on a black background, it's not a very good idea. It seems it would be hard to read from far away.

Trust me when I tell you you'll regret having asked that:
SpoilerFor context, I believe this was during the Brazilian leg of the 2010 tour. Some of the first shows after the release of Chinese, first shows with Ashba, GnR first time in Brazil since RiR 2001. There was all that excitement

We now have a timeframe for comparison as Queen's Face it Alone will be released on Oct 13. That's nearly a month of Spotify searches returning the band in advance.
https://www.queenonline.com/faceitalone/
Their shortened link is already up and redirects to the site above (https://queen.lnk.to/FaceItAlone), while the google search on the domain (site:queen.lnk.to) still hasn't picked up on the new page. -
He did soundcheck hard skool before mexico 2020 though

To add fuel to the fire, I've now bumped into the community section of GnR youtube channel (kinda like a facebook/twitter/instagram timeline, with much less users). They used another picture for the recente "what should we add" post:
https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugkx_P-Z136GYCxGg-ICvFSn_wFBMA7Rm9wk
Their goal could still be to boost engagement, but not in the obvious way of hiding a popular song so people can "guess" is -
I'm in Brazil, been searching on an incognito window for the past few days, without logging in. There could still be gnr data associated with my device or network. I've gotten GnR as a suggestion for Altas, General, State of Grace, and "soul mo". Still found no results for perhaps, oklahoma, or zodiac. Thyme got me this playlist as a result, but not GnR as an artist:
Went back on the other searches, and found that same playlist as a suggestion.
It might not be the case of a small number of people adding leaked songs to their local spotify collection, and thus affecting the algorithm. But rather this playlist, which has a decent amount of followers, and strong GnR connections (in songs and in title), could have the leaks on its original source.- 1

Turns out both guesses in this topic missed the mark! (heh) Today this animated video was released, indicating who plays when:
Slash plays from 4:57 to 5:07.
This video has a sligthly longer intro and overall length, but I think the timestamps from the original that were mentioned here (8:10 and 7:32) correspond to Joe Luis Walker and Tommy Iommi, respectively.
