I was able to download it from Amazon. Matt seems pretty bitter. After reading it, it occurred to me that Slash and Duff are scheduled to play that fundraiser Matt had setup before everything got shut down. I will be interested to see if they're still around once its rescheduled and the details of the book reach them.

I'll be there tonight. This will be my girlfriend's first time seeing them and that's what I am pumped about. Feeding off her energy and seeing her genuine excitement has placed my priorities in a different and better spot. Not concerned about the setlist or personnel.

The third photo, the one showing the chassis removed, also shows a price tag from Guitar Center. Kinda took the wind out of my sails.

Pretty light. Touches on the vibe of the tour being healthy due to Axl and Slash reconciling. Nothing to get too excited about.

My apologies if this has been posted already.

YOU'RE A LIAR!
(I'd give my extra ticket to anyone that knows what I'm referencing)
Bob Dylan at Royal Albert Hall with The Band (minus Levon)? We can share a cab from the airpot. Looking forward to the show!
Sorry. Skimming on a mobile phone. Glanced over the other responses. Oops

GNR just proves to me the fact that every band needs a diehard fan on their team to help make good decisions...
Too bad we can't get them in touch with that Marc Canter guy. I know he's a stranger and all but he seems like a person with a high level of integrity that has the ability to see GNR from a fan's perspective while keeping the band's best interests a priority. A sort of curator. Anyway, he's probably just some crazy guy on an internet message board, no reason for them to trust him...

This was pretty exciting for me. Jesse is a musical acquaintance of mine and this was quite a surprise. I say musical acquaintance because everybody plays with everybody here (Tulsa) and Jesse and I have crossed paths several times. He's been with the Hard Working Americans lately and I was proud of him for being involved with something on a bigger scale; where his talent could be recognized a little more. Now playing with Izzy...wow. Really happy for him.
As far as the feel, it's a very accurate "Tulsa sound". I noticed Bones is credited with drums or percussion which is really cool for him as well. He's one of my favorite guys around town. Tremendous player, gracious, plays with everybody, etc.
Im just proud of both of them and happy that they had this opportunity. Aaaaaaand kinda jealous. If Izzy was looking for a sincere way to do a J.J. Cale song, he couldn't have picked better players. Not to leave out Lauren either. Her vocals are a great fit as always.
Jesse said it was a surprise to him as well. He didn't get in to how it all went down but the next time I see him I'm going to see what the story is.
Anyway, this is all very cool to me.

Here's another one with Tommy. My friend and I had a blast with him. He was very gregarious, funny and well-spoken. Everyone had a little buzz and he's an old hand so what's the difference if he was drunk or not? My friend had no idea who he was so as we were walking and chatting, she introduced herself and asked how we knew each other. I said "we're old college buddies" (I didn't go to college and I doubt he did either). I think he liked that I didn't blurt out "He played bass for the last 20 years!" He's a hugger for sure. He had his arm around me and said "good answer". We chatted about the Hudson valley, some music/gear and the security policies at large stadiums . No fan crap. I've been fortunate enough to meet quite a few well-known and not so well-known musicians, whom I admire, and I've always had better luck just hanging out talking about things we have in common. He did offer to me that :
1. He had been backstage
2. It was a surprise
3. He knows he's really pale but "you shoulda seen em, they looked like they were seein a friggin ghost. I love those guys. That was nice"
As far as the show, I thought it was stellar. I leave the sword fighting about the merits of YouTube videos, being in person, Note-for-note critiques of every song, blah, blah, blah to those of you who have the desire. It was great. Yeah you get swept up just being there and that hides the bum notes. But I'm not there looking for perfection. I could've seen James Taylor from a suite the Friday prior but I turned it down. Why? Because I can listen to him at home and if I fall asleep halfway through the CD, I haven't offended the person that asked me into the expensive suite.
I was actually a bit concerned that too much of the grit had been stripped away and it was a little too polished to be the real deal GnR but I was so happily wrong. Being close enough to see their onstage interaction, they are absolutely a band. Yeah the set list is a little predictable but the lighting guy kinda needs to know what's next and I bet he's not cheap. Who cares?
I saw a real rock and roll band. Little to no superstar bs. Those guys were sweaty, having fun and giving maximum effort.
What more can you ask? For Axl to sound like he did 25 years ago? I couldn't care less. He was giving it all he had and by the end, he wasn't really able to get every note out with full power because he was exhausted! Which is exactly what I hoped. There's no "saving yourself for the fourth quarter" crap. They went balls out and by the end he was shot. To me that's what it's all about. Loved it
Anyone who bickers about set lists, every syllable sung, attendance numbers, etc. you're in the wrong place. This is a Guns N Roses discussion. Remember?

Not playing, just hanging out. Genuinely cool. Ready for the show. Tell the story later

unselfishly I hope you get rid of them the way you want, but I'll definitely hit you up to see what's become of them! Thanks!
I appreciate that but look on the bright side: It only cost me about $800 to learn how to buy tickets online! Sorry for the previous blank post. I suck at computers

well if you're just giving them away......... * wink wink nudge nudge*
I hope you sell them! I bet a lot will be sold between now and right before the concert. I've like triple checked that I have my tickets packed up and we don't even leave til tomorrow morning lol. I'm going to be a hot mess, no idea how I'm going to sleep tonight. SO pumped.
Hit me up tomorrow. If I still have them, they're yours

Been mentally checked out of work since Monday morning. We will be rolling in around 5pm tomorrow. Hopefully there will be an established spot to meet by then. It looks like I'll have the opportunity to make someone's day tomorrow. I haven't sold my extra tickets and I'm not going to let them go to waste, so someone is going to get free tickets at the front of Section H unless a miracle happens in the next 24 hours.

Received this email from the stadium. Thought the parking lot map might be helpful for communicating where to meet.
I am not the least bit concerned with what the weather may do as long as it doesn't affect the show itself. My own comfort is not even a consideration for something like this. The best way I can express my outlook is the same way Duff did, when he described his thoughts while smoking crack with Slash on the MGM plane: "This is going to be awesome"

I promise I don't mean this to be a knock on anyone's planned attire, let alone our individual ways of getting excited for the show. I just couldn't help it though, it was too easy. Nintari, that's a cool shirt any you're fortunate to have a girlfriend that supports your fandom. We should all be so lucky. FWIW, I'm going to the KC show and it's going to be ridiculously hot so I will most likely forgo a shirt altogether. Also, my legal team is prepared to issue DMCA notices should I be photographed.

Lets get a forum meet up planned! Anyone worried about slow ticket sales, looks like a lot of good seats are still available... Hopefully the show doesn't get cancelled or anything crazy.
Yes. Maybe someone familiar with the area/stadium can suggest a good spot.

Gotcha. I'm from Buffalo, now in Tulsa - stranger in a strange land. Maybe we'll catch up at the show. We can discuss the merits of Labbatts, Molson, our lousy sports teams, etc.

I will be there!
I live about 30 miles east on the KS side. Right in my back yard!
Sitting on the floor, Slash's side, 19th row.
We are going to be pretty close to one another. By chance, are you a Western New Yorker? I remember you mentioning that you were at the 88 show at the fairgrounds near Syracuse or something like that.

I'll be there with 8-10 others. Coming from Tulsa. Tickets were extremely easy to get. I opted for a few rows back in the first section of seating rather than pit, thinking that sight lines might be a little better. I'm pumped and will be rolling in with a rowdy bunch. Look forward to hopefully meeting some of you there!

I think a really old one would be a great surprise. "Shadow of Your Love" would be pretty exciting.
I plan on KC and Dallas-more if they stay on-fire and my wallet can take the abuse.
Truly cool of you to have this contest for us; many thanks!

Melissa Reese Article - Rolling Stone
in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
Posted
There is a new Rolling Stone article featuring Melissa that showed up in my Apple News feed this morning. I do not subscribe to Apple News Plus so I wasn't able to read it but thought someone here might be able to find a way to share it. I'm sure she will clear up all of our questions on the inner-workings of the band...or candy and emojis. Either way, it should be non-violent and virus-free so that in itself is a relief.
