Hi, does anyone know if the gig is selling well. I'm travelling down from Vancouver for it and don't have a ticket so wouldn't want to be wasting my time.
-
Old Skool rap is the best in my opinion.
Illmatic by Nas, the finest hip-hop album of all-time. Check it out, absolutely amazing.
Also, Bone-Thugs N Harmony.
-
Elliott Smith, my favourite musician. RIP.
-
Coma, the lyrics are just unbelievable. 10 minutes of pure bliss!

I own a few rap albums and have been to quite a few rap gigs. The commercial rap today is rubbish but there are some classic albums from the 90's.
Bone, Thugs n' Harmony - E.1999 Eternal
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
Dr. Dre- Chronic and 2001
Cypress Hill - Black Sunday
Smif n' Wessun- Dah Shinin'
Undoubtedly the GREATEST rap album of all time is:
Nas - Illmatic
If you don't own this album, buy it right away!

I agree too much hip-hop. I've moved to Vancouver now and there's far too many hip-hop clubs. I'm starting to really hate hip-hop, well only the mainstream hip-hop.
Jack Black was class, I love that guy.
Rock music needs more danger, it's getting boring.

Excellent news as I will be moving to Vancouver in August and will defo catch one or two of these shows.

Artists I would pay over $250 to go see:
Guns n' Roses: Use Your Illusion line-up
Rage against the Machine
Elliott Smith(if he were still alive)
The Stone Roses

I'm 25 and I'm losing my hair. It's natural and Axl is almost 20 years older than me. I've bleached my hair twice which obviously hasn't helped. Baldness, here we come!
-
I'm the only one who voted for Rage against the Machine, I love that band. Obviously, I prefer Guns. It was a tough choice who to pick but I think Rage are the best. I wish they had never split up, hopefully Zack will release something soon.

1. Gun N' Roses - Use Your Illusion 2
2. Elliott Smith - From a Basement on the Hill
3. Elliott Smith - XO
4. Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction
5. Elliott Smith - Either/Or
6. Grandaddy - the Sophtware Slump
7. Beck - Sea Change
8. Nas -Illmatic
9. Supergrass -In it for the Money
10.Ray LaMontagne -Trouble
I absolutely adore Elliott Smith!

That's terrible news. My younger sister was a big fan of D12. May he rest in peace.

Elliott Smith, hands down, the greatest singer-songwriter ever. RIP!
-
Favourite Band: Guns N' Roses
Favourite Artist: Elliott Smith
Smith is the greatest singer/songwriter of all-time in my opinion, even more talented than Axl Rose. Six solo albums, all are amazing, the only artist on whose albums I would never skip a song. RIP Elliott, I will be at your grave on your third anniversary in October.

It's been announced that GNR will play the RDS on the 9th of June in Dublin. Happy Days, saves me having to go Lisbon. The announcement has been made on Irish radio. The album has got to be coming out with all these announcements of gigs. Roll on June!

Smell the glove, where are you from in Ireland. I was at the gig in London aswell. Did you hear the GNR playing Dublin rumour from a reliable source. That would be savage as I'm saving to go to Canada and Lisbon would be expensive.

Ever Cried
in 2006
I've shed a tear to November Rain and Estranged because they remind of late brother who passed away a couple of years ago.
Another song that makes me emotional is Angeles by Elliott Smith. Truly beautiful song and after Smith committed suicide in 2003, I shed a few tears.

I have:
All the CD's
A GNR poster from London 2002
A video of the Paris gig in 1992
Use Your Illusion 1 DVD
CD from Rock in Rio 2001
T-shirt with Axl on the front and Paradise City on the back
Ticket stub from London 2002
Video of Welcom to the Videos
And the creme de la creme:
A t-shirt with the second verse of Civil War printed on the front and Civil War on
the back, the coolest thing I've ever bought!

Estranged -Guns n' Roses
Crossroads- Bone, Thugs n' Harmony
Waltz no.2- Elliott Smith
Kiss from a Rose-Seal
Comfortably Numb-Pink Floyd

Ye, it was a good year, saw him them in Dublin but they weren't as good as when I saw them in London in 2002 and I didn't hear any new songs between the London and Dublin gigs and that was a 4-year gap. I'm hopeful but I wouldn't put a bet on it coming out in 2006. Great to see Axl out in public and he does look well and still sound great. Maybe he will release CD on his 45th birthday.
