  1. I mean WOF was great musically, but lyrically sucked ass (as the rest of Myles's career)

You can give Myles 15 years to write lyrics for a single song and he would still use the words "there's nothing left to [insert whatever the song is about here]." He's not a great lyricist, I listen to Slash's albums for Slash anyway.

His lyrics were amazing on the Mayfield Four records and on Alter Bridge's Blackbird. There were great moments on Fortress as well.

Can you do me a favor and list the songs I should listen to? That would help a lot.

Try 12/31, Fallout, Overflow, Summergirl, Don't Walk Away and Believe from The Mayfield Four. I think his best album lyrically (ever) is Fallout, the first The Mayfield Four record.

From Alter Bridge I recommend the ones Anguyen listed, besides One By One. Mark Tremonti also writes some lyrics, so it's not always easy to say which ones are Myles'.

I think if Myles was teamed up with Slash in his 30's, when his voice was so much fuller and stronger, people would've liked him a lot better. He may be technically better now and hit higher notes, but the way he hit his high notes back in the day was so much more intense.

  3. There's a bit too much repetition towards the end, but I like it.

The ass line is obviously not meant to be taken seriously. The band knows it's hilariously bad and they don't care.

This song is not a single by the way, just a free giveaway. The first single will be released in the week of March 23.

  4. Hopefully one day Axl will apologize to Slash for the nasty things he called him over the years.

    Indeed.

+1 calling Slash a cancer a few months after Slash lost his mother to cancer is disgusting. Axl Rose should be ashamed

It was months before, not after, and not even Slash knew his mother had cancer at the time.

Really? I didn't know that. Still, calling someone a cancer is not 'nice' at all. If Axl never apologizes to Slash, people who want to see them together can forget about it.

People who want to see them together should have forgot about it long ago. In fact, this poll surprises me in that so many people are using fantasy instead of common sense to cast a vote.

I don't think they'll ever play together. I wouldn't really care about it tbh.

But I don't think it's impossible that they'll communicate before they die, even if it's just once.

  5. Myles did a nice job here, very professional, no drama etc.

Imagine Axl on here with his Bridget school performance and voice?! ehh....no thanks!

I would imagine that if Axl would have decided to play a reunion show in front of god knows how many millions of people, that not only would be have practiced and gotten his voice in shape for it, but he probably would have lost 50 pounds as well.

I don't believe for a second that the Axl we see now would be the Axl we'd see if the original band got back together. He'd do it right if he did it at all.

Myles isn't the right fit as a singer to do justice to GnR songs. He belongs in commercial radio rock outfits like Alter Bridge and Creed. His voice blends perfectly with Tremonti's tone, but not Slash's. All in all I would've rather had Todd Kerns sing or maybe Scott if he can drop his childish antics.

uhh gnr was commercial just like alter bridge

How many It's so Easy's, Get in The Rings and Perfect Crime's did Alter Bridge write? GNR had hits, but they were authentic. Alter Bridge was a product.

A product of what? They bought themselves out of 2 record labels with their own money because they weren't happy with the way the record deals wanted them to sound. AB is as authentic as you can get.

  6. Axl comes way closer than Myles ever will. Each and every time.

Not in this decade of this century. I'll give you 1991.
Every single second of every single minute of every single hour of every single day of every single week of every single month of every single year of every single decade of every single century of every single millenium of every single eon of every single whatever the fuck comes after that, Axl completely wipes the floor with Myles.
I feel so sorry for you.
You shouldn't. I have no sympathy for you whatsoever.
Didn't expect any. You love being right so much that you don't even care to open your mind a little bit. It's laughable.
Open my mind to the whining shit vocals of Myles so I can appease some nerdy Slash fans on the internet? I'll pass. I'd rather go deaf. Thanks for the offer though, it is appreciated.

P.S. There is no right or wrong when it comes to opinions. I would never expect to change yours, and you're sure as hell not going to change mine.

Opinions can be changed. I originally thought anything Axl did after the original GNR broke up sucked, but I've been proven wrong about that. There's a lot more to enjoy if you open your mind a little.
There is nothing to open. I've tried listening to Myles more than enough times to know that I'm never going to change my mind about how bad he sucks. You honestly think I haven't? Just because I think Slash has been nothing but a huge letdown after leaving Guns doesn't mean that he's not still my favorite guitarist of all time. I honestly want to like his solo work, but when something offends me as much as Myles voice does I'm not going to change my opinion of it. He ruins Slash for me to the point that I can't even appreciate Slash if he does do something decent.

Fair enough. Have fun spreading your negativity around then!

  10. Myles didn't start playing guitar until Blackbird. Mark just really stepped up his game. Creed musically never was a bad band, whatever people might say.. They actually were really tight. With Mark stepping up his game and getting more artistic freedom the band became a lot more interesting.

  11. There's no way when Axl is having his now patented off patches that he's superior to a decent sounding Kennedy, I believe Axl could sing Alter Bridge and Slash material excellently whilst Myles sounds just 'good' on Axl's (which is no slight, this is Axl Rose after all).

Axl would sound awful on Alter Bridge songs. Even worse on The Mayfield Four songs (Myles in his prime).
