  1. I can't believe how many people have said Right Next Door To Hell is unlistenable. It's one of the only UYI songs that doesn't suffer from overproduction and doesn't include Dizzy's piano/organ work. It's kick-ass right from the beginning and snarls with Appetite era attitude.

  2. Hey Marc,

Why is it that you rarely talk about your interactions with Izzy? Were you not as close with him as you were with the other guys? I know Izzy's always been the aloof and private one of the guys. Was it just his personality that made him naturally suspicious of others? And do you know what he's up to these days? Thanks!

  3. "If the evil spirit arms the tiger with claws, Brahman provided wings for the dove, thus spake the super guru."

    ---Breakdown

WTF was he thinking?? I love Axl, but I believe Izzy, Slash, and Duff could justifiably have lined up, like in the movie Airplane, and taken free shots at Axl for spewing this nonsense. No court would have convicted them once they heard the end of Breakdown.

  4. I'll never understand why Dust N' Bones isn't talked about more. I recognize people don't necessarily discuss it like it's part of the UYI filler, but I believe it should be mentioned as one of their all-time best songs. Really hard, aggressive guitar work by Slash and Izzy's voice always sounds good. Nice change of pace from Axl. Plus, the lyrics contain a cool message...live your life now and don't worry about the small stuff. One day none of it will matter. Thoughts?

  5. Which song off of either Use your Illusion album suffers the most from being overproduced? By that I mean, which song would have been better if it had been left alone and stripped away of any excess. My choice is Breakdown. It is a fantastic song but all that additional talking at the end really hurts it. What is your choice?
