they closed the two side decks when One Direction played there last.

    yeah but 1D sucks so......

id like to think that more seats are selling because steven is on the bill. but prob. a combination of both.
    we shall see!
i wonder if they brought him in for these gigs because the openers were weaker? or maybe he started in cincy because hes from ohio (cleveland)??

itd be RAD if by some miracle they had all 5 together for a few tunes...maybe the LA gigs?

Seat upgrade ...533 to 114 life is good to be a gunner the show was beyond amazing Axl Slash and Duff are having a great time it's so good to see them all so happy  we saw them in Vegas and I didn't think anything could be better that but it was I never believed that the three of them would ever play together again I saw slash twice and GNR once  and nothing can even come close to what they have now this is how it's suppose to be I have not one complant

how were 114 seats? i orig. had that section row J but was afraid the sound tent & VIP A would obstruct the view so i moved

First post here, I will be at this show some how.  Would love to make the meetup.  Doesn't look like I will have issues getting a ticket.  Missed the DC gig which is my home town.  Hoping for a patience encore like they did here.  Let me know if anybody has any single tickets they need to sell coming alone.

there's still a TON of tickets left on ticketmaster. scoring a decent seat won't be a problem.
looks like the meetup will be in/arouns the casino.

keep tabs on this thread for updates :)

Looking forward to it!! I admit I know nothing about the inner workings of a giant production like this, but I imagine some shows over perform, while other under perform. I'm sure it all evens out, and would take a catastrophic event to actually cancel one of these giant shows. I bet they drop some ticket prices and come close to filling the joint anyway.

would love some news on an opener though... ?

im super stoked! i hope they lower prices too...ill just keep inching my way up as they drop LOL...hoping they announce an opener soon! i guess theres a few next week that dont have openers yet either!

their camp is enormous. i cant begin to imagine how much it costs to run this monster.

Thats what really losses me off. They jump all over those shitty country acts that role through town, but not this? I already dislike dealing with Pittsburgh quite a bit, if this show gets cancelled because of poor ticket sales, I will never forgive that city. Really wish they would have done Cleveland instead.

oh man!! i hope they dont cancel!!! id be devastated.
i wish it were in CLE too ;)
of course id spend the week stalking all the downtown hotels & get no work done LOL (fangirling) :wow:

With the way this City Is treating the band(ticket sells) I am embarrassed to admit being from here. Don't live there anymore though.  The gray skies, cold and snow get old after a while. It also gets old running your furnace Into June at night.

yeah theres a TON of tix. left...what gives???
maybe more will sell when they announce an opener?

This is 114 from this web site http://aviewfrommyseat.com/venue/Heinz+Field/  It's really helpful when choosing seats for any show. The stage will be at the other end of the field according to the map.

Yea, I'll end up selling a pair for face value.  I'm not looking to profit off of friends or even other fans.  I guess I'm torn between sitting up a bit higher in 234 row B or sitting lower and in row A.  I've never seen a concert at Heinz field so I'm just going off my gut here thinking 134 row A is the better tickets, but a good friend says sitting up a little higher in 234 would be better.

Both sets of tickets are same price so that isn't even part of the equation.  Anyone been there for a concert and have an opinion?  I gotta think row A in 134 is the best choice but 234 are club seats.....

i just upgraded to sect 114. anyone know how the view is there? Got aisle seats-but not first row

I'm in and have my tickets.  If there is enough forum members going please let me know if you want to set up a tailgate party.  I have some (not a ton) of pull at the casino.  For those of you not familiar with Pittsburgh the Casino is basically in the shadow of Heinz Field.  I may be able to get us one of the upstairs rooms (view of the stadium) if there is enough interest.

We could just take over Levels (main bar) and I likely can get a good bit of drinks comped as there is no free alcohol in casinos in PA.

If you want to go traditional tailgate in the parking lot we will have to see what the rules are as the Kenny Chesney crowd has ruined it for most concert goers at Heinz Field.  They've just trashed the entire North Shore multiple times and now the rules are very strict for tailgating in the stadium/city lots.

    Hey Gunners!! 14 days!!!
instead of scrolling thru the thread I'm going to be lazy and ask is there any meet up before the gig? Also-tix say 7:30. thats when it starts NOT when doors open. i almost made that mistake & missed AIC at the Detroit gig. ...and the merch truck is RAD! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

I'm trying to get us some space at the casino for a pre show party.  I'll post details if I can make that happen and would love to have you stop by.  That will be on my dime, of course.

that sounds like a blast! im coming from cleveland and meeting my friend in PBGH after she's off work. we'll most likely have free time before the gig so this would be perfect. keep us posted!

How many total for a concert at Ford Field? Based on the below list, it appears 50,000 is concert capacity?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Field#Concerts

Either that or none of those shows were anywhere close to capacity.

i looked on ticketmaster just for sh*ts and giggles and theres still a TON of seats left. hope it sells out tho! i want a packed house for the tour kick off

Jumbotron will be behind the stage so I doubt they use it.  Your seats are fine given you are in the first row and on the side so they are actually seats and not bleachers like 518-527.

I'm hoping to get some fans together prior to the show as well.  Once it gets closer I hope we figure something out.  I still think the casino would be best since it's next to the venue.  Hopefully we get something together.

    Thanks!!!

Look at the utter shit that Guns N' Roses are going to be playing with at the festival (except for ice cube). Music has gone down the drain..thank god or whoever for gnr.

Have you heard every artist on there? Some of them are actually quite good. Courtney Barnett, BADBADNOTGOOD, Gary Clark Jr., Run The Jewels, etc. Not even close to being "utter shit" at all. Not even when compared to GNR.
The average 35-45 year old GNR fan could give a fuck about those bands. The lineup is geared towards young folk.

some of those bands are probably good... but for us old rusty guns....

I don't deny they are good. I'd be open to listening to them. A three day festival though with a shortened Guns set (by GNR standards)doesn't excite me. I hope some people on here get to go though and have a great time. To me ,personally it's not worth the time and money. I can see two GNR stadium shows for probably less than the price of a Coachella ticket and not have to fly to do so.

same here and will probably do just that if there's a tour...well, at least ONE stadium. :)

  12. Honestly I don't see why Coachella shouldn't be a full reunion; Izzy's played almost full sets with the band in recent years, and it'd make everyone a lot more excited than seeing Slash play alongside Fortus (no offense to him)

Since it's just two dates in the same location, it's not like there would be a tour to worry about

you never know. he might show up for reunion dates (if there's a tour). my predictions are at least in LA and Indiana

    I hope INDIANA FOR SURE!!

RIGHT?! that's pretty close to me too!
