Bought six tickets today during the Q107 presale.  In the 200s besides the stage.  Going with five other people who are fans, but not big enough fans to pay more than $125 per ticket.

If they do a second show in Toronto (shhhhh...) I'll go myself and pay whatever it takes to be up front.

Best of luck to those buying tickets tomorrow.

I went all out this time, as most likely it will be the only time I see GNR during this tour. I ended up buying plantinum seats (ahhh!) and am now at A6 row 3!!! I didn't want to be in GA Pit. So damm excited! The last time I saw GNR was in 2006 and I never saw Axl, Slash and Duff on stage together... So I went for it.

You will have a wonderful time in Toronto. For how long do you plan to stay in the city? I'd recommend visiting Center Island / connected island, The Beaches, Kensington Market, Royal Ontario Museum... Maybe even Canada's Wonderland... With regards to touristy things.

  3. Love that commercial for San Francisco... Haven't seen any ads in Toronto yet.

I'm 37 years old and growing up my sister (hi coolranchdressing :)) was a huge Guns fan... much to our mother's dismay. I knew of them through my sister but wasn't really a fan (or fanatic lol) at that point.

Fast forward to 2002... My first GNR concert. I was absolutely mesmerized by Axl. I never saw anyone like him on stage before. He was fucking amazing - definition of rock star. The singing, the energy, the excitement was incredible.

I've been a fan ever since. I am now super excited to see Axl, Slash and Duff (was also a huge VR fan) in concert. It's going to be an awesome night. I can't wait to sing, dance, scream my lungs out and catch Axl's mic and/or whistle at the end of the night!!

  4. All of the Nightrain tickets, including VIP tickets are sold out. The only reason to get a Nightrain membership now would be if they added a second Toronto show... You would then receive a password for that particular upcoming GNR show.

I would upgrade to GA if it were available to me, but my goal would be section A6, A7 or A8 rows 1 - 4. But Aerosmith once sang, "Dream on!!!!!" :P

I will let you all know how I goes on Thursday and Friday :)

@coolranchdressing - I'm ready for my jumbotron close up :D

Anyone able to get any tix at all today?  I can't pull anything up.

Also. Can someone explain these 2 cutouts, been years since I was at a stadium show and I have no idea: (some kind of tower obstruction?) tickets I have say nothing about obstructed view

Citi credit card pre sale worked only for stadiums in the US... Toronto was not included. Blagh.

If anyone is even considering using the secondary market for any of these shows right now, please wait til after the public onsale is complete... As a Springsteen and Pearl Jam fan in the Philly area, I have seen many shows that are almost impossible to get tickets for in arenas and small theaters that have sold out literally in seconds... I know it's easier to just buy on Stubhub to make sure you have tix, but you can do that all the way up to the show date.  We're talking stadiums right now where 75-80% of the tickets havent even gone on sale yet... Further, even if you still somehow get shut out, bands always hold back some of the better seats at every show for family/friends/record company/management, and whatever is not used is "dropped" within the last few days (sometimes hours) before the show.  In February, I saw Springsteen in Philly (which was considered a virtually impossible ticket, with resale prices in the $500-600's for anything other than the worst seats at one point)... I actually went to Albany and saw him there because I didn't think that I would have a shot at tix in Philly, but while we were traveling to Albany, I got a tip that a drop was happening and scored great seats for the show in Philly, which was 3 days later... I saw two Billy Joel shows in his family section (like 2 rows off the stage) when I waited until the last day for what were both supposedly sold out shows, and also bought tix for a Springsteen show at the Garden at 1 PM on the day of the show a few years back... ended up sitting in same row as Bruce's mother... like 3 seats down... could almost touch the stage... Don't panic... there are tons of seats in a stadium... the prices on Stubhub aren't going to get higher... They are preying on your anxiety.

Thank you @TheDave0206 for your detailed response. I read somewhere that NT had about 2500 pre sale tickets per venue. In Toronto 800 of those are on stub hub for 4x face value and more.

I'm going to try and upgrade my ticket through fb pre sale and then the general sale... And then like someone suggested, in the stadium parking lot, day of.

It reminds me of when I traveled to NYC to watch the Hammersmith shows. I had one floor ticket already but then another show was added before mine. The night of my sister (huge GNR fan) decided to randomly get tickets off the street.

We ended up getting two additional floor tickets at face value an hour or two before show time.

  7. I'm thinking that I might have to eventually use stub hub thanks to the very fast scalpers in Toronto in order the get a decent seat. I was wondering if you had any experiences with this company? Or should I just try and get a ticket in front of the stadium, day of?

As the thought of buying a fake GNR concert for hundreds of dollars makes me sick.
