  1. I am happy for them, but im kind of bored. Axl has been touring with the same songs too many times!! This whole tour is just about axl and slash being on the same stage together , and although it's really cool to see them there, I dont feel like theres anything outstanding about any of the performances , definitely nothing that i would call perfect. Effort really dos'nt mean much when your in the entertainment industry, its either you have it or you dont, and axl is on the edge with his voice. The rhythm guitarist and slash do not sound good together ( in my opinion) the drummer is terrible compared to matt sorum and slash keeps on fucking up his solo's.

Michael Jackson's "Invincible" Mariah Carey's Glitter", Neil Young's Geffen era, the 4 KISS solo albums, and Lady Gaga's "Artpop" were bigger failures as far as money goes.

The vast majority of fans going to see these shows never saw them back in the day. So as I always ask when the word "nostalgia" comes up, whose nostalgia is he talking about? There's a lot of people who gave up on GNR when Slash left, they're getting those fans back. GNR have always had new fans coming into the mix ever since Slash left.

Is it the last roar of a "dinosaur"? Maybe but that's a whole other topic about the music industry.

There's no hate regarding Adler & Stradlin, but either GNR does a residency with the original 5 or they do a big tour with a revamped lineup mixing up old and new, like The Cure have done. The door is open to Brain & Robin taking part in the reunion because they were a big part of the ChiDem album and could be taking part in the next album. Izzy's been a special guest but they have no plans to make him a full time member. He'll probably write songs with Duff and Slash for the next album though.

Steven's a wild card , but if it's true he was IN rehearsals with GNR (probably got paid for the rehearsals), we'll see him at some point on stage with them. Izzy's probably pissed he's missing out on the millions Slash, Duff and Axl are getting to not even bother going...it iS about money with him (Axl said on here Izzy tried to negotiate with the former manager behind his back to get more money).  Matt's in the loop and I'm sure Duff will call him as far as guest appearances go.

michael jacksosn invincible was not failure because it was a bad album ti was a failure because sony refused to promote it , they sabotaged michael jackson because of micahel big stake in the ATV catalogue. Michael held protests against sony around that time, and his album did become number 1 all around the world except for America.

It's been noted on this site before. Many people don't buy the back injury claim, and think that it's a public excuse being given to protect Steven's privacy.  Others who actually WERE there, such as Eddie Trunk, have been noticeably uncomfortable when asked about Adler.

    maybe steven relapsed

  4. axl sounded amazing in all the clips i heard from the troubadour, maybe not perfect, but definitely better than 2014. Hi's voice is so wierd because there are parts in his performance at the stadium that he can let out a little rasp and his voice doesn't seem so strangled. Is the mickey voice the result of having no vocal trainer to protect his vocal chords or is it the result of old age?

  5. Axl is three years older than Slash. These are their most recent public photos.

They look okay. Check out Izzy though!

Seriously... for what is meant to be the biggest news in the music world, a lot of media outlets are fucking up. The above picture comes from The Mirror, which shows that Izzy Stradlin is somehow able to shapeshift! Who knew there was always something up with Matt Sor...er...Izzy Stradlin.

I saw another article a couple of weeks ago which said Axl Rose was the bass guitarist...

These are obviously slip-ups, but Jesus Christ these guys should find another job. Fact checking and news reporting clearly aren't their best suits.

Why do Axls eyebrows look weird? Is it bad botox or what?

Also why is Axls face so much fatter/bigger? Is that because he gained weight, I didn't know weight gain also added to a persons face, at least not at that age.

How much do yall think he weighs now? and he's what, 5'9"?

Take away the bandana, tattoos, and long hair and I don't think I would recognize him in public if he was dressed normal. Slash seems to have aged best, him and Matt, og I forgot Duff I think Duff is probably in the best shape and youngest looking

Yes, weight gain affects the face, and other parts of the body at any age...

as you get older your eye lids droop your nose gets thicker and that combined with the werid stuff axl did to his brow area in the early 2000's

  6. I hope Adler is there.... I've never understood why so many dislike Adler, yeah he was a drug addict, but so was everyone else in the band except Axl I guess. I don't get why Steve gets so much hate. I don't see what Steve has ever done that was so wrong. Steve and Duff seem like the most good hearted down to earth members of GNR.

Steve is the dumbest of them all and for me that's the reason I like him the least (which doesn't mean I don't like him at all or hate him, that would be ridiculous). Besides he fucked up the most and fucked up the soonest.

You know Adler personally? How would you know he's dumb at all? None of us know any of these people in real life.

But all of them speak and basing on how people talk you can easily see their intelligence level. Plus Steven wrote a book whcih spoke volumes of his intelligence, that's enough for me.

Intelligence is what you seek in Guns N' Roses?

Intelligence is what I seek in EVERYBODY and EVERYTHING... At least an acceptable level of it. I hate dumbness, sorry... Personal preference.

I do not understand this at all as, If I seek rock music out, I do not tend to seek it out for the purposes of intelligence. I demand intelligence from my writers and classical composers. I hope that society's doctors and teachers are intelligent. I would prefer a modicum of intelligence to exist among filmmakers and television people. In a sense, I think I prefer a lack of intelligence in rock seeing as rock relies on an intuitive informal quality. The fact that Adler does not speak fluent Latin, is not able to roll off the Kings of England chronologically, or does not know the fundamentals of the Theory of Motion and E=MC2, does not interfere what he brought and could theoretically still bring to Guns. We do not need Adler, to know these subjects.

The exception to this would be certain wordsmiths such as Dylan and Neil Young. Guns were never that type of band though. Most of their lyrics are about whores and heroin.

You're confusing intelligence with education which is all too common. I don't need GNR members to be highly educated but I do need them to be intelligent and most of them are. And the lyrics about whores and heroin usuallly have a lot more to them than what you just mentioned and if you don't see that than I am sorry, it's a great loss. It's not the theme that makes an artwork meaningful and wise or totally stupid and useless. Songs, poems and books about whores and heroin can be great while those about the deepest existential matters can be stupid as hell. Many Guns lyrics are absolutely great on every level and no idiot could have written them. That's the subtle difference between them and Poison or some other utter shit.

Accepting your point for argument's sake, you still do not need Adler to possess any higher intellect than the intellect he already has which allowed him to provide a groove-laden drum track on a debut rock album, for your audio stimulation! Equipping Adler with higher intelligence will not make Adler any better suited for Guns N' Roses than he already is. Appetite would not have been any better, had Adler been more intelligent! Guns N' Roses would not have been better, had Adler been more intelligent.

UYI would have been better if adler chose to not let the drugs affect his playing to the point that he gets kicked out of the band .Slash said on howard stern that the band started to fall apart as soon as the original lineup started to go.

  7. if you read slashes book he says early on that steven seemed to be more in love with the idea of being a rockstar and put a lot of energy towards getting connections and living a rockstar life instead of putting it towards his music. Maybe steven didn't have his priorities in the right place. The difference between steven and the rest of the original band members was not his substance abuse but rather the fact that they were functioning drug addicts and he wasnt. Can you imagine the UYI tour with steven fucking up like he did during that farm aid concert. Steven is also stuck in the past , all band members are off doing projects and are visibly annoyed when ever an interviewer brings up their past with guns and roses, but with steven its all he can ever talk about during interviews because the rest of his life has been going in and out of rehabs.

Steven played great at Farm Aid. They can say he fucked it up all they like, but the tape shows different.

theres no arguing that he fucked up the timing on civil war, and put the band out of sync

didn't steve shoot erin everly up with an eight ball that landed her in hospital.

Of all the arguments, this one is weird. Who cares about Erin Everly? Besides he didn't do it by force. If someone is so dumb as to allow Steven Adler shoot them up, they only have themselves to blame and nobody else.

thats true but that would give axl a reason to dislike steven. Duff thinks stevens unreliable, steven said so in a eddie trunk interview.
