Looking for a Golden Circle ticket to Friday 16th June, first night in London (ideally, no fancy added gimmicks, early entry/autographs etc). Wedding Anniversary gift, so please be kind folks.

    GREG

All, there seems to be a further release of Gold Circle tickets for both London dates, I've just managed to get my Saturday tickets.

    on sale through Ticketmaster.

    good luck

Selling 1 Golden Circle early entry ticket for 16th June, first night in London. Face value £320, willing to go slightly lower than what I paid for it but no lowballs please!
    PM me :)

Shame it has the early entry bit with it, I'm after a single gold circle, but I won't have a need for the early entry, although i hope you've already managed to shift it.

I was at that one, my first GNR (???) show, I think they played Wembley Arena the night before and it was a very long gig with an acoustic section/encore, which we didn't have on the night I went.....I think I got the worst of the two shows!

*edit* just checked the set list from the two Wembley Arnea gigs and they seem to be the same, I must be thinking of the special acoustic gig they done earlier in the day before the show i went to, although I am sure there was something special about the first night that I was gutted I had missed....oh well.

    It's not 2017 yet buddy

Ha ha, I misread the post!! Silly me!

For what it's worth though I can't see Guns being a Glastonbury headliner, Download yes, even Isle of Wight but not Glastonbury- I would have said Reading/Leeds too but I think they've burned their bridges with that one!!

That's really useful to know thanks. I tried googling for the information about last tube times earlier this week but couldn't find a definitive answer.

Yeah both the Central Line and Jubilee Line serve Stratford, both of which run through the night on Fri and Sat nights, a few other lines run all night too, so don't be tricked into thinking you'll need to rush away before the end of the gig or be stranded in East London all night....the night tube would have been handy last time they was in London as lots of people left to catch last trains then, although can't recall if they was weekend shows back then.

Can't believe there's still golden circle tickets available for the Saturday. So tempted to buy one even though the price is a disgrace, might try and hold out for another two weeks or just buy one off gumtree next year. Anyone else using that approach?

Yeah I am, not looking to buy until around a month beforehand, will easily pick one up either from a further release of tickets or via a secondary market, which I fully expect prices to have crashed before too long. I certainly don't think I'll have to pay more than face value and I think very likely I'll end up paying a fair bit under face value. I would rather the Saturday out of the two but will see which one my approach lands me with.  I am pretty lucky in the sense that I am only 10 miles or so from the Olympic Park so don't need to plan travel or hotels and the like.

by the way, for those of you coming from other parts of the UK for the gigs and are looking at hotels, I'd just like to advise that the London Underground now runs all night on Fri and Sat so you don't  necessarily need to book rooms in/around Stratford, both the Central Line and Jubilee lines cover a lot of London.  Also, happy to help with any local info if required.

I'm going to offer my UK friends a little advice on attending these shows, particularly for those who are saying this is too expensive.  Long story short, I understand the urge to want to have tickets in your possession for something like this.  You want to KNOW you're going to attend.  I had tickets in hand for their show in Philadelphia since I could not make the MetLife show they announced which at the time was the ONLY MetLife show.  Once the second show was announced I waited on it.  Tickets were not selling well and StubHub had incredibly reasonable prices for that second show.  I waited until the day before the show and bought tickets off StubHub for the GA Pit on Slash's side at a solid discount.  Not once did I consider not going because I didn't have tickets in hand, I knew the entire time I was still going to the show.

I recommend those of you who are having financial difficulty to try this approach.  I promise you it will work at least to some extent.  You might not get the premium seats you want, but trust me you'll get some pretty good seats AND you'll be able to choose where you want to sit over Ticketmaster telling you where you'll sit.

Very similar to the approach I plan to take, I actually think I'll end up getting golden circle standing at a fair whack lower than face, if that doesn't happen then for sure I will 100% get a Golden Circle ticket at face.

I just checked and could easily get standing tickets to show up, keep trying :)

Yeah I just looked for the Sat and could get golden standing easily enough (I released them) I really am going to wait it out and get Christmas out of the way, secondary site prices are coming down quickly too, I'm in no rush whatsoever.  They'll will be further releases of tickets too.

  9. Even though this will sell out, i can't see it being an instant sell out, those prices and going onsale just before Christmas won't help shift all the tickets, they'll be further releases of tickets and plus a nailed on 2nd date to be added. I will likely go and will go for golden circle, but I have no plans to purchase in the next couple of months.

    and quite pricey...

Yeah I should have added that too...class tends to cost!!! Only joking, for what it's worth i think it is horrible...and expensive. Although different to the usual Christmas jumper rubbish.....I can't see many people out there buying it though.

I would rather not take the bus. I've compared routes and the trip takes 6 hours from DFW to Houston on the bus versus 4 hours in a personal vehicle.

I am also not familiar with Houston. The city is a big concrete jungle. I don't think it would be a wise decision to go down there alone.

I am a big proponent of the buddy system.  You watch my back and I'll watch yours...

Mate, for some reason I have just had a look at this, and there are plenty of buses that state they'll take 4 hours or so, look at Megabus, prices knocking around the $50-$60 return mark, the drop off in Houston is only a few miles from the NRG Stadium (got to be easy to get to from there??) - even though it will be a solo jaunt and probably feels like it'll be too much hassle, I'm sure it will live long in the memory - may even meet another Gunner doing the same trip?  Do it, get it booked up!

  12. This may well have been done on here in the past, so I'm sorry if that is the case.

I class myself as more of a casual GNR fan, having the released albums etc and a couple of live shows, but beyond that I am nowhere near as in to the band as many of you seem to be.  I am interested to know though if GNR have got a number of studio recorded non-album tracks (possibly b-sides)?  Ideally original material, but would be interested to know of any covers too.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

  13. First ever post on this forum - I'm from England so am hoping they do head over the pond after the US tour, one thing though, why is the standing area so small for the US shows, seems silly to be to only have two pockets of standing area's and the rest of the pitch being seated - if they do head over here later this year (arena shows) or next summer (stadium), then I hope the floor is left largely as a standing area - on a separate note, tickets are very very expensive for a semi decent ticket, I hope those sort of prices don't transfer over here!
