  1. What's really funny is how these die hard axl people are now puffing out their chests, like they somehow feel "validated", & how, in their minds, this latest delay somehow "proves" the "doubters" & "haters", like Kaneda, wrong for believing what they believe when in reality, it's the "doubters" & "haters" who, once again, for like the thousanth time in a row, have had their suspicions, doubts, & sceptism proven correct. It's like Bizarro world.

  2. If this stupid album is ever released, it'll generate a small burst of publicity - a Rolling Stone article here(just like they would for any mainstream rock band), a Spin magazine article there, reviews in Entertainment Weekly, etc...then it most likely will fade away. The day it's released it'll be on MTV.com, RS.com, MTV news etc.... for a day or so. Big Fucking Deal. Some of you think there's going to be some sort of worlwide pandemic of Guns n Roses fever sweeping over all mankind.

  3. I was thinking along last night, that maybe the reason why these new tracks have been leaked is just to give the fans demo tape versions (Wouldn't be official I 'm sure) so that this summer tour they at least know what to go along with, so that when they play these songs, the fans wouldn't just stand there not knowing what to expect. In my opinion I think leaking non-final but high quality versions of tracks that would be played on shows makes perfect sense.

Rather than read through 5 pages of nitwit responses, I'll just agree with you, in the most sarcastic way possible, that yea, leaking the songs so a few thousand internet losers hear them is a MUCH better plan than actually releasing the album, going around to radio stations & publicising it through interviews, live radio acoustic shows, etc..., Having it reviewed & written up in every music magazine & newspaper in the country(s), having Finck, Fortus, Brain, Stinson have features written on them & the recording process in the various musician magazines like Guitar Player, Guitar One, Modern Drummer, etc..., actually releasing a single so hundreds of thousands, even millions of people could hear it on the radio, appearing on Letterman, Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan & performing said single before millions of television viewers, no, you're right, leaking it makes perrrrrrfect sense  .

And when axl fails to show up at whichever shows he inevitably will fail to show up at, and/or cancels the remaining scheduled appearances, MARK MY WORDS there will be at least one dimwitted axl fan here who will post that this is what he loves about axl, the unpredictability of his actions, blah blah blah, he does what he wants, blah blah blah, how this is brilliant strategy because it gets people talking about GnR again, blah blah blah...., part of the master plan, blah blah blah......, and there will be people here posting and agreeing with him/her. Put it in the bank.

  4. IMO the only reason they're doing these shows is to make $$$. There won't be a 3rd gtr plyr, they're going to play mostly crowd pleasing classic GnR songs, maybe with an few "new" tunes here & there, just like in 2002, CD release is nowhere in sight, & no US tour is being planned. This is just a way for Stinson, Finck, Fortus, Brain, etc... to get something for sticking around for so long. They probably stopped getting paid when Santuary cut off funding CD, IMO.

  5. I haven't heard anything on any of these "new" songs that a competent session guitar player couldn't handle. I'm sure Fortus could play those parts note for note. I highly doubt Finck could, though. From what I've heard so far, Buckethead in GnR was just another shredder - it sounds like they never really tapped into what he's all about.

  6. Seriously though, out of all the "new" tunes I've heard, & that includes Blues, CD..., as well as the new leaks, there is no real COMPLEXITY to ANY of the guitar playing - I'm sure Fortus could play the solo from IRS note for note - I haven't heard ONE example of Bucketheads brilliance in ANY of these NUgnr tunes - anyone can play a ripping guitar solo - Bucketheads brliliance lies in his complex arrangements, odd meter timing & playing, & general crazy compositional skills - NONE of which are evident on ANYTHING I've heard so far.

Where's the complex guitar interweaving everyone was saying was going to happen? All I hear are basic chords, basic arrangements, with numerous guitar, keyboards, & orchestration tracks stacked on top of one another.

Also, I'm not saying there's anything particularly wrong with any of the above - it just seems like Bucketheads real talent was squandered & maybe that's why he left, & why these leaked songs are, for the most part, at least musically, to me, underwhelming. He's used to playing with world-class musicians and while axl & Brain might classify, I doubt people like Stinson, Dizzy, & Finck could keep up if Bucket were really allowed to do his thing.

If these demos are close to what will be released, why couldn't they be released back in 1999 or 2002 or whenever they were recorded, with perhaps a followup record in the works now?

  7. Comatose. My band when we hit it big. rock1  rock3

    Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi.

Dude, Springsteen is from Freehold, & currently resides in Colts Neck & Rumson. Bon Jovi is from Sayerville & currently resides in Middletown(about 2 miles down the street from my house on Navesink River Road).

Monster Magnet is from Red Bank, though.

  8. "Fast as a Shark", from Accept's album "Restless & Wild" is the greatest fucking album opener ever. You got to hear it to believe it.

    Deep Purple Highway Star

    ACDC Hells Bells

    Weezer Tired of Sex

Wilco I am Trying to Break Your Heart

    RATM Bombtrack

    Kiss Detroit Rock City

RHCP Power of Equality & Around theWorld

Iron Maiden Nimber of the Beast(fuckin awsome)

I can probably name dozens more.
