The reason the rule was added last year was because we had people who were constantly changing their screennames - which became confusing to other members and mods. They abused the privilege. So, we brought in a new rule that allowed people to change their screenname until they reached 500 posts. At 500 posts, most normal people are satisfied with the name they've chosen and members and mods know them by that name.

If we start making "exceptions" to this rule now, it will re-open the floodgates again.

Exceptions have are already being made, one namely being myself. My namechange request was a serious one, with relevance to a legal Deed Poll name change. BUt no-one seems confused yet...

Yeah, if it's after Guitar Pro 5, there'll be an option somewhere to transcribe the tab in a stave score. It'll be a basic skeleton score, but it will get you started.
