there is soooooo much fucking 4tus fanboyism here, why? what has he done? LSL sucks ass, but it ain't like most of you have even tried listening to them. we haven't even had a fortus solo in a new song yet! all he does is play (barely any of) slash's old solos mostly not for note. sure he doesn't fuck up, but it sure isn't worth all the praise he gets. his solo spots leave a bit to be desired as well.
why the fanboyism? well, have you ever heard the addage 'if you want to seem smart, talk as little as possible so you have less of a chance to say something stupid'?
it's fucking true, unfortunately, and richard's making a killing off of it, by playing his guitar as little as possible...
Well, he does play the end of the blues solo and the Madagascar solo - extremely well, I might add. Personally, whether you consider me a 'fan boy' or not, I don't give a fuck. But for what it's worth: I truly enjoy the music Richard makes as well as his amazing on stage presence. I have also exchanged some e-mails with Richard, and he really seems like a genuinely nice guy.

1. Apart from Axl, he is undoubtedly the best singer in this band. He's a fantastic back-up singer, and should be used more (check out his previous solo work to hear more)

That's some of the funniest stuff I have ever read. Buckethead was NOT respected at all in this band. Yes, he is an amazing guitarist, but on stage he is merely a joke.
Do you honestly place that much value on image? Don't you think that's a little shallow? If during the Appetite years Slash had a giant ginger mop instead of a giant black one would you not like him as much? Because that's the type of logic you're using.
Dude, this is a rock band. It is ALL about image.

I really don't want to hear his second rate interpretations of Buckets solos. I have a feeling that Axl's been picking up rare action figures to lure Bucket back. I think Bucket and Brain had no interest in taking part in another sham tour, so they sat out round 2 of the "Chinese Democracy tour". If Axl is going to tour with an album out next year I think Bucket and Brain will be back. Bumblefoot is a guaranteed flop with the general public, but Bucket has a chance to be a real star, and Axl knows this.

If you see live videos, sometime the audio and video can be out of sync. Some people misunderstand this and think that it's lip sync
Right on the money. When some videos are uploaded to Youtube, the audio goes out of time with the video.

I'm kind of surprised by that.
Raising money for any album is a full time job. The same applies with any artistic project, particularly one 13 years in the making.

It's certainly very much in the classic rock style. I love it. The last guitar solo ROCKS!
I shuold also say, of all the new leaks I have played for my non-GNR fan friends, this one was appreciated the most.

They sold the seats behind the stage for this show, and they are also selling seats behind the stage for the Edmonton show tomorrow night. So the Edmonton show is basically sold out too, the only tickets available are behind the stage. Both shows should be around 20,000.

No I haven't been to their gigs.Haven't seen them live not even once.If I do that I'll prolly throw a tomato at Axl and say ''That was for my great grandpa!He died of old age waiting for your stupid album !''.

Brahms took about 15 years to right his first.
I'm not saying its completely the same with CD, but its not completely different either.
Beethoven produced many other works during the period in which the 9th was written, he didn't labour away at it for the whole 20 years.

Yes, Axl doesn't use his 'moves' like he used to, but I think it allows the rest of the band to be highlighted. Just watch Fortus or Finck - they have amazing presences on stage and are glorious to watch more on stage.

I would rather that they release Rock Am Ring 2006 or something. The record company should realise that they need to solidify the public's notion of Guns N' Roses to maximise profits of CD!
