I think it's just one of those things - someone on the forum said it, no source, nothing. Anything's possible, but I can't see them doing it all over again tonight in all honesty

Me either. Especially with all the steps they went through to let people into this, I don't think they'd just show up somewhere. But they are all here, so showing up out is not beyond the realm of possibility I guess. But I don't think they would show up at the whisky. Rainbow maybe...

Really the best bet out there. A new album with some great songs and a killer tour......could be a start of something big.

Its too bad they can't find a couple young up and coming bands do take with them to "break" them out.

Skid Row got their big break by opening for Bon Jovi.

Gnr could start a rock revolution. But they need a couple young bands to keep the ball rolling. Alice in Chains and The Cult aren't those bands.

    Blacklist Union.

    You didn't get a ticket?

Nope!! I was so dumb not to just go last night when we knew about the line at tower and only a few people were in it. I had a conference in Pasadena for work and I was afraid I would get in trouble if I didn't go. During a break I drove down but I was about 60 people too far back. I got a shirt and briefing considered going back and trying to work my way in somehow, but didn't, even considered going to the whisky (bunch of people I know are there) and one of my students' dads is in and I saw him get his wristband ???. But he will give me every detail. Plus he never saw them before. So that's awesome for him. (He's too young)

  4. Hi all!! So I was despondent when mygnrforum was gone this morning. I also should have just went to tower and spent the night when I was here and we knew the line had like 12 people. (I know some inside tonight) but I had my conference in the morning and I did go this morning to tower a little after 9 and I was way too far back. Got a cool tshirt and  I am happy genuinely for the people inside. I have seen them many times, I always have those memories. But can't wait to hear all about it!! I missed this board a lot!!

I'm a little confused. do they think they're gonna get tickets at the box office there as soon as the clock strikes midnight or something?

And what time exactly is this show supposed to happen tomorrow?

I have tickets reserved there, I was told I can pick them up after noon. Actually was told I could have picked up today, but didn't go. That show is supposed to start at 8 (the openers) a member of hwood roses says they are scheduled to go on at 10:45.

  6. A couple years ago I was at a lady gaga show at kimmel (300 people) and there were literally 1000s in the street. It was chaos. I didn't even know it, because I was at the show, but there were cops with riot gear. It was peaceful, just caused massive traffic and safety issues.

Also don't judge me for seeing lady gaga. It was a lucky opportunity and I took it and it was a good time. ?

I envy you. You witnessed something that was so stark and pure, it leaves me speechless.

Yes. Without a doubt. It was a magical time. But again, I didn't know how awesome it would be to lace Duff's pants before a show, sit for hours with Slash, and def the it's so easy video shoot experience, so surreal. I was talking about it again with my exhusband (who was with me at the video shoot) and we had to say, it seems like a movie or something, not real life. While he was signed to the label I had so many opportunities to see and do so much and I know how lucky I am to have had lots of these experiences. That's life in Hollywood and long live rock and roll.

I'm get the feeling the line for the actual event is gonna end up spanning across all of the venues.

    Lmao! We certainly need one!

I am kind of feeling that too. Everyone everywhere is saying "you never know who might show up". Regardless of whether I get tickets or get in or whatever (and I still have the rsvp at the whisky on hold) I will be down in Hollywood with the masses. It should be kind of an electric night anyway. Say hi if you see me!!!! :)

They were freaking incredible. REAL music. Raw and unfiltered with no bullshit. The last great rock band IMHO. The people who were there for the early club days and the Appetite tour have no idea how lucky they were.

yes, to all of this. Seeing them sitting on an amp side stage was just incredible. I knew I was seeing something special and I saw bands 7 nights a week. it was just unrivaled.
