It probably doesn't technically matter if they don't sell out some stadiums. If in a smaller market they manage to sell 27 000 out of 40 000 seats, that's still probably a profitable number. It's more people than you'd pack in an arena and that many more people who will buy beer, merch, and so on versus an arena show that caps out at 12 000 people. Even if only the biggest markets sell out and the rest just sell "decently" then I don't think the tour can be considered a failure. It's probably way too early to even speculate about this.
Nope. This article lays it out pretty clearly: http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6843087/guns-n-roses-reunion-stadium-tour-per-show-payday

Anyone that wants a pit ticket for face, let me know. After buying this morning, figured out that it falls in the middle of a family vacation that I wasn't informed about.

I got on and bought a PIT ticket for the Seattle show right at 10a. I checked back in again at noon, and PIT tickets were still available. So Seattle is selling REALLY slowly.
For high-demand shows, Citi presales get hammered. This one is barely registering.

It's pretty clear from the availability showing on these shows that scalpers are not buying.

I realize a lot of people here are hardcore GNR fans and will likely buy presale or general onsale tickets at face. But I have to say that the smarter move from a financial standpoint is to wait until the week of the show and buy on Stubhub or other secondary markets. The high face value, the huge supply of tickets due to massive stadium capacity, and the large number of tour dates is a recipe for soft demand. There will inevitably be a huge amount of buyer's remorse for both people that buy at high face value and want to unload closer to the show, and for scalpers that misjudge the demand and overbuy.
It's not something hardcore fans want to hear, but GNR simply isn't the massive draw that a lot of you think they are any more, even with Slash and Duff back. Selling out arenas is one thing, but stadiums are extremely difficult for even currently relevant and popular acts to do, which is why you see so few music acts even play stadiums anymore.
Wait it out and there will be loads of tickets at face value and significantly under that available close to show time. It's a virtual lock.

You have to be able to buy with a Citi card to take advantage of the sale. The first 6 digits of a card will get you access to see the tickets, but won't let you purchase.
Send me a private message regarding the pit ticket.
