I can definitely hear the circus fanfare sound in the riff, but.....I can't put my finger on it!

Is there a certain scale that is done in circus fanfare or something that sounds reminiscent of sweet child o mine?

Anyway, I'm asking because I'm wanting to create a killer guitar riff that's similar to nursery rhymes. You know, I'm wanting the riff to sound really nostalgic and timeless.

But to do so, I'm trying to figure out how Slash pulled off a circus sounding theme...I know Circus music is kind of wacky sounding...And the riff to sweet child is...I dont' know

BTW did you guys see DJ come into the sitting area and give his guitar to some guy in a wheel chair to play ? was incredible, he let the guy have it for like a minute or so while he went off shaking hands of fans (while the song was still being played haha) then came to collect it again and got back on stage.

I get that not turning up part... but asking to not be inducted.... someone could have accepted it for him like duff...still could have acknowledged the fact that he was part of something huge and that his music still is massive today.

Most people seem to be saying that Axl's voice in 2010 is the best yet that hes been. I really dont think this is the case... although it was pretty damn cool I think in 2006 his performances were better than 2010 vocally.

Rio I think he struggled a bit vocally however on some songs he was great, obviously something happened and it played a negative effect on the night. However... probably major over reaction from many people here... I think we need to support rather than shoot the guy down... there playing tonight at chile right? lets fucking support this band! I hope the gig goes well. The band were on top form at Rio, whatever/if something was bugging Axl I hope its no longer distracting him and hope the night goes well.
