The Communist Manifesto - Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels
How was that? Just curious since the ideas gave birth to so many atrocities. I bet it was fascinating.
This one was very moving. Hilarious too.

Loved the book, comic and game back in the day.

In Duff's first book when he talks about meeting Axl again for the first time in over a decade. Made me tear up a bit because clearly Duff didn't view Axl as quite the same monster everyone else did. And when they go out to dinner together after Duff is sober Axl orders a drink, pauses and then says, "Make that a virgin."
Thought it was sweet.

Stephen Kings The Outsider was a phenomenal read, and return to form for those turned off by his most recent work. Highly recommend if that's your preferred genre.
That's great to hear, just finished the Green Mile.

In spite of my desire to read intelligent novels, I’ve concluded that I’m far too literal for John le Carré. Here’s an abridged version of the conversation with my husband.
”What did you think of that my love?”
”Not sure I got it all”.
”Read the Wikipedia and come back to me”.
”I think that makes sense”
*Husband then explains what happens and why*
”Oh. Is that it? It’s nicely written but I wouldn’t dedicate a book to something so boring”.
*I return to the Very Hungry Caterpillar*
Hahaha! That has been my experience with both John LeCaire books I've read.

I've heard so many good things about Red Dragon. I'm glad to hear it's not like the movie!
The movie did the best it could, it had an excellent cast but was kind of flat if I recall.

Misery was great and you will not be disappointed by Red Dragon.

I'll start Song of Susannah soon as well. It's my fourth journey to the tpwer rigtht now
Song of Susannah for me was the worst of the original 7 books... In that one it became obvious that King was flying by the seat of his pants and was just trying to pad out the story.

Nice review. You sound more confident/comfortable or something I think. Really need to read this, it's been on my radar for a while now. What do you think of the David Lynch movie?
Thank you! I've honestly never had a desire to see it for what a mess it (supposedly) is.

Just read and made a review for Dune.

I'm trying my hand at book reviews on Youtube. Here's one of my most recent on Caleb Carrs "The Alienist."

Axl sounds absolutely awful
Because he was. Those saying he wasn't are in denial.

Wow, my buddy went tonight and said it was quite a bit better than the 2 shows he saw last year
He must need his ears checked or he saw really bad shows. Axl was full on Mickey most of the show. Had much more rasp last year. Yes, 1.5 yrs touring and AC/DC thrown in will wear on a voice I'm sure.
-
The show had some highlights like Axls talking but honestly it was pretty horrible compared to the shows I saw last year.
Oh and the crowd was lame as hell. Not into it like they shoulda been.
-
Not sure which is better but I felt like a kid again watching the fireworks going off at the end of Paradise City while Slash was soloing and Axl was screaming. My wife told me later my jaw dropped for the whole last part of the song.
-
I feel like his voice is directly proportionate to his level of giving a damn.
Also, they need to add more songs that would give his voice a break. Like Bad Obsession or You Ain't The First.
