-I know Axl can be a tough person to deal with (I myself am a very tough person to deal with and drive people away myself),
We actually jammed last night until the wee hours, til my fingers were blue and both me & my tech were falling over, was a great time & wish we had done that more often - Axl's great to jam with (And I'm sure I've been tougher to deal with in GNR than anyone, circumstances have not made it an easy ride for me personally & it hasn't made me the best version of myself most of the time...)

Hey all, long time no argue. Lol... I knew going into this Kickstarter how it could be perceived, and that haters are gonna hate no matter what, but just so you know where I'm coming from.....
Gary & I (& our bandmates/crew) are sharing a vehicle together, it's $60,000 just for the vehicle expenses, then getting tour insurance for the band members & all... we get a flat fee for performing as openers for Yngwie, the original agreement for our expenses got hijacked, and we want to take care of our band members the best we can. Gary's done a Kickstarter campaign before and suggested we do this for the tour, he's my buddy, he'll always have my support. I know on my end it comes off to some as a 'millionaire begging' and apologize for rubbing any of you the wrong way - but simply, I'm helping the people involved in this tour & having fun offering what I can in return. That's it. Nobody's forcing anyone to participate, it's not like you get nothing in return, it's out there for those who choose to take part in it.
Most of the solo gigs I've done have been for charitable causes [Red Cross, Navy Seals, juvenile diabetes, Operation Smile, men's & women's health issues, burn victims, The Grammy Foundation, Rays Of Sunshine, Music Rising “Icons of Music” for victims of Hurricane Katrina, Oxfam's Tsunami Relief & Global Emergency Fund, Earthquake Relief Fund, Humanitarian Water & Food Award, Foundation Fighting Blindness, Little Kids Rock and Rock Asylum for children's education, Dubai Autism Centre, NGO Wildlife Trust of India, a board member of the MS Research Foundation, spokesperson for Knockout For A Cause Foundation to fun school programs, a member of “Musicians On Call”, visiting orphanages and children's hospitals all over the world - to name a few], just so you know I'm not one who doesn't give.
OK, back to the regularly scheduled program here... for whoever's going to be at the Vegas GNR show tonight I'll be by the box office before doors open around 7:30 saying hi (as I do every night), please come say hello
Thanks,
Ron- 21

Hey Bumble. What do you think of Jack White as a musician?
Comes up with stuff that makes guitarists say "why didn't I think of that" ?
-
Hey, Ron! Just wanted to say thanks again for Detroit! That was the best show and one of the best nights of my life
Glad to hear you seem to be doing better and hope you had a good birthday.
Thanks so much!!
OK all, getting to bed, have a great night Chat soon, see ya's soon

What do you like most with Guthrie Govan? the Erotic Cakes album or his work with The Aristocrats?
I kinda dig Cakes....
wow since bumble on the thread just had to chime in and say i finally lived my dream of seeing gnr live in december of 2011 in nashville. the band was perfect and ron knowing that you were in pain with each step you took and every time you held a guitar you were fucking outstanding!
Appreciate it, thanks a lot
Got to see Fozzy a few weeks back, Rich and Chris killed it live. Their past two albums have been some killer stuff. It's ironic you mention lending Rich guitars because the first thing I noticed on Sin & Bones was that his sound was...revamped. What'd you hook him up with?
Lent him the Bfoot sig model & a 2nd one, I don't remember if it was a fretless or a single cutaway.....
Hey Bumble, thanks for taking the time to chat with the fans, its awesome. I was just wondering if we can expect anything different or special for the vegas shows or if they will be similar to the last tour. Thanks again for chatting and being a kick ass guitarist.
Thank *you* Let's just wait and see what comes together before I speak about it - will see when we're all together and shootin' ideas...

Music geek question coming
How much theory do you apply to the music you write or use to analyze the stuff you write? Meaning how much do you utilize all the shit that schools teach in theory classes versus using your ear and not worrying about identifying each and every little nuance, because rock music isn't the most complex in terms of applying theory (unless you are in Dream Theater or something lol)
Music theory explains why certain things react the way they do, but it's all about the *ears*. Do what sounds good, what moves you, forget what you know until after the fact.........

How did you end up jamming with Fozzy a few years back? Fucking love that band
Known those guys for a while, Chris Jericho, Rich Ward... great fkn dudes Lent Rich some of my guitars, he tracked some of the new Fozzy album with em, very cool

Ron, how you can listen to Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street and still say The Beatles is beyond me. Haha, sorry I'm a hardcore Stones guy...

I've said in a dozen interviews that the plan was to get together with Tommy, Frank & write. Said in the chat it hasn't happened, family & health stuff needed to be my priority, and told what those personal things were. Said what I'd like to see happen, but that's all I got for ya. Sorry.
Isn't there another album that was already recorded that is more or less ready to go? What happened with that?
No secret that there's lots more music Chi Dem era music laid down.... with any album, nothing's ready to go until you feel like it is - and even then you still feel like there needed to be changes after it's released, that's just how it is when you make an album. It's up to Axl when he feels that music is ready to give to the world, I don't have the answer. I can't speak for anyone but myself - again, sorry.

Ron, forget Vegas, what about Mtn. View?! My first GN'R show since '06, Neil fuckin Young -- let's have a drink man!
Gonna be a good time serving a good cause See you there

Attention. That's all they want.
This.
The nice folks here have a life outside of GNR, so do I. They don't. But they must have a good life, imagine if your biggest problem was worrying about what some guy ya don't know does with his life... stick 'em in a starving country, give em some perspective.
Just had a good workout with the arm gadget thang I got - low-impact, great for injury rehab, hit me up if anyone wants info
Ron
No offense , and don't get me wrong here, you seem like a cool dude,
But people want to know about NEW SONGS! and the future of Guns N Roses. Playing the same set list for almost a decade is starting to get old. PEOPLE WANT TO HEAR NEW SHIT!
And whats your point with the starving country crap? I was in Iraq for a year, just saying.
EDIT: Is there a future? Or "can't you say"?
I can speak til I'm blue in the face but certain one-track minded people will say I've said nothing until they hear what they want to hear. As for time served overseas, God bless ya, I'm a supporter, and that's what I'm talking about - insulting a bandmember because you don't like what Axl did thusfar is pretty fkn petty in comparison to the real world, NO? Even when I'm here, I'm still in the real world and keep it in perspective. Most people here do. The ones that don't are obvious, and tend to ruin it for the rest of ya's. You can disagree without disrespect. Not enough of that here, & ya know it. But I came here anyway and spent time with ya's. Am glad I did. The few cupcakes on here won't ruin it for the rest of ya's, it's as easy as simply not caring, lol

If I may take a minute away from the trollers, THANK YOU RON! You are incredible I will always remember the Electric Factory show in Philly. Even though you were in obvious and excruciating pain, not only did you play your ass off, but you hung out with us in the pit before the show, and took entirely unreasonable amounts of time hanging out with fans out back afterwards. One of the coolest nights of my life, and I can't thank you enough. Thanks for always being here for your fans, and just generally being a total fucking boss.
His awesome to the fans good to everyone
I remember man, good to meet ya!

Seriously Ron if you get a minute, I'm sure you will enjoy this
So cool, thanks!
Gonna be a GREAT time in Vegas The fans and the band are all gonna have a great time together, simple as that

Sometimes I wake up with your Pink Panther song in my head. It's an awesome song. I bought it from you in .wav format shortly after it was available.
Keep it up!
Thanks Sweersa, and the whole lotta ya's
Looking forward to spending more time with ya's soon

Like I said, big talker when I'm *logged out*, lol. COME TO VEGAS.
Anyway, again, was a pleasure to chat with a lot of ya's.
lol... Don't flatter yourself. I had no idea you were logged out. Anyway ... regarding your invitation to Vegas, sorry. I don't travel to see coverbands. Don't worry, though. I'm sure I'll be able to keep up with what's going on when you send your pissing and moaning tweets about how Axl is putting you, the crew, or the rest of the "band" in danger.
Have fun covering Slash's riffs in Sin City.
Yup. I'll keep living, and you'll keep reading
-
So Bumble, since you're still here; what was it I said in here that I didn't say directly to you in the chats?
My 'virgin ears' have heard enough from you. Done.
-
I think most of you are fans of the band and like interacting with the band. We like it too. And some of you are just looking to make trouble from the point you reach out to what you do with the responses. It's pretty unnecessary. Everything's your choice, folks - I'd rather be your friend and get along and have a good time together, not make things negative, have drama, negative attention tactics... not necessary. We'd be more available without all that, and would like to be
From a bandmembers point of view. We're not 'the enemy'.

Bobbo, you sure talk big on the board, but not to me in the chat when I called you out. Nice vag. Pathetic.
The rest of you were a fucking pleasure to connect with again, some for the first time. Nice chatting with ya's
