Nobody would be more excited of playing with Slash, Duff, and Axl again then Steven Adler. And I am sure he would play the songs properly despite the excitement. I do blame Frank.

Frank is primarily to blame. Rocket queen is great because of that steady funky groove. It's not you're crazy which is what they are trying to turn it into tempo wise.

The end of RQ in Vegas sounds like frank is jamming along with them. It should be a solid funk rock masterpiece not a jam session with frank improvising beats that don't match the nature of the song.

  2. SIDENOTE:

im day drinking at a strip club and the dancer put on 10 straight ac/dc songs and I hear some sheeple at the end of the bar saying the stereotypical ignorant bar room talking points.

    1) "my asshole can sing better than axl rose"

    2) "he's an asshole. More like Asshole rose!"

on the positive side... Axl is back in the modern American lexicon. :) Cheers!

  3. Being a young and attractive guy is  a very forgiving factor for both males and females of all sexual orientations. There is obviously a massive sense of nostalgia and love for the bygone era,  which as much as people try to act uneffected by nostalgia, they are -- even if they don't want to admit it.

That being said -- Some of the best performances of this era do ABSOLUTELY stand up to some of the prime era performances. Saying otherwise is denying the quality of this era because of some other bias.

  4. Thinking they are speeding up songs to fit more songs in a set is the most ridiculous idea. If that is the reason for the speed on some songs the band needs to quit lol

its either an artistic decision or frank getting nervous because the band is not 100% comfortable playing live with each other yet. By the middle of the tour I bet this evens out.

  5. So happy with his voice this year thus far!

he's not in his 20's but screw that scapegoat argument... That aside he sounds spot-on on most songs.

i thought the proshot coachella vids were really beneficial to people having faith in the quality of this era.

i know nov rain has gotten some shit in regards to vocals but the coachella feed was def one of the best in years. He had a decent amount of gravel on the verses and the ending high wail on the outro was more reminiscent of the album recording than I've ever heard!

no one can deny nightrain sounded just as good now if not better than many of their prime year performances.

Uh, no Lana. GNR performs for ~2 - 2.5 hours (which admittedly is still pretty good), but about 20 minutes of that is instrumental. And Axl DOES get tired, that's why he goes back stage for oxygen and can't catch his breath during the tougher songs.

Be grateful that an extremely popular and relevant artist is giving modern GNR/Axl great press.

  7. Food for thought.. Here's a quote from rolling stone not insanely long ago.

She's seen the current Guns N' Roses lineup many times, in multiple countries  – which is why she was once spotted hanging out with Axl Rose in L.A.

"I love Guns N' Roses," she says. "Axl is perfect. He's exactly what I thought he would be. He's an inspiration. He goes onstage for three-and-a-half hours every night, you know? He doesn't get tired. It's amazing. Stamina. Courtney Love is like that, too. I saw her at the Troubadour a few months ago. She's just still killing it."

Courtney love did open for Lana on her tour last summer, so considering she's mentioning her and Axl in a similar context this could be a hint of her mindset In regards to who she likes touring with..

-- in past tours she's included a cover of KOHD with her even singing the Axl "hay hay hay hay"s.

.... And everyone knows about the songs "Axl rose husband" and "guns and roses".

i think there is a clear connection. I saw lana on opening of night of her tour in Vegas a few years back and I was front row wearing a GNR shirt and she absolutely spotted it and had a reaction/acknowledgement like she was caught off guard by it.

i hope this happens as it would be a dream ticket for me. If it does happen I bet she was the main instigator of the whole thing.  Super psyched today!!

axl is sounding amazing imo, they brought back coma, lana might open!!! This reunion thing just keeps getting better and better.
