I'm so happy to I'll be there tonight for their LAST U.S. show! I pray they make new music and go out in 2 years or don't make new music but still go out in 2 years. Just that they play again, because it's reminded me of who I am in ways that have been so helpful, and I could use a reminder every couple of years.
It's my 4th show of this tour and 2nd in the pit! I get so much from seeing them up there together again. Lessons about longevity, survival, forgiveness, resilience, reconciliation and of course just being amazing at what you do.
I've also had my teenage dreams come true. When I was in the pit in Los Angeles I thought, "You know what, you've had ups and downs, but LOOK at YOU! You made it to LA where you work as an actor, you've traveled the world, and you got pit tickets to GNR!" By my teenage standards I REALLY AM living the dream! The bar always keeps moving, of course of what you want to achieve, but when you have moments where you realize you got what you wanted and dreamed about, then you should celebrate.Oh, also - READ THE BAG POLICY FOR THE STADIUM - IT'S THIS WEIRD CLEAR BAG RULE, and make sure any ladies going know about it.

Anyone know what time GnR will go on?

I've been reading the threads since the boys got back together but I haven't posted, and I'm going to be honest, I have no idea how the private messaging or anything works it's been so long since I've been on a message board. But I guess try that private message, and if you don't hear back in a day or two, yell at me on this thread!
We're selling these because we got lucky after we bought these and got Slash pit tickets!!!!!!!! (Our teenage dreams come true.)
These tickets are going for $130 each now.

(I stood outside for the Troubador show, I was hoping there would be a way to get in and as I was leaving someone was playing a clip, and they said to come here for people posting videos and pictures - and I just want to say, I'm so happy to have these message boards and see fans talk and to fall back in to my obsession - I'm reading Duffs book and trying to learn guitar again - my other teenage dream.) -
This "hold" music is torture. They could at least put something musically in the same family as what we are waiting for.

So are they on the stage right now and livestream is just not showing it, or they aren't on????? Argh technology.

At least last night it looked from where I was, the pit on Slash's side that there was a little miscommunication about exactly when/how to all bow as one and that made everyone laugh. I could be all wrong and just making stuff up, though.
Man, having gone pit it's going to be hard to go back to anything else. What wonderful details I saw. It's little moments that stick with you. Like this big F-ing moth that flew around Slash at one point (I don't think he noticed, he was busy playing). Slash sweating so much on the walkout thing to the side that Axl slipped AGAIN after one [particular lengthy solo, and made mention of it being slick, and guys with towels having to come out again and again to mop it up - Slash works hard and sweats hard. Duff's smile when comes over to play at the edge of the stage. This band still works a stadium stage better than anyone I've ever seen, with the running hopping, dancing, posing, etc. It looked like when Axl turns his back to the stadium he is talking either on another channel or on his regular one once the feed has been switched off, but it's super quick and I couldn't tell if he was talking to people back stage or what. I was so happy to hear Used To Love Her. I also love how much everyone loves to sing along to Civil War. It might have always been like that, but I didn't realize it was such a crowd favorite (I just loved to sing it at home). As Paradise City started tears came to my eyes and I thought I might just cry through the whole thing because it hit me this is the last show I would be seeing for an undetermined amount of time, if ever. But fortunately I kept it together. I'm just so happy they are back together, they sound great, the show is great, they seem to be holding it together, and there hopefully is a FUTURE for the reunited band. And I witnessed some of this. I love these guys so much. There were so many happy people at the show. People kept saying things like this was a dream come true 30 years in the making - I think a bunch of people missed seeing them in the old days and this was their first time ever. People brought out clothes they'd worn in the 90s and rekindled the person they were, even though they may have families and lives that are very different. And hopefully they will get a new audience as well.
