Gothenburg was amazing last night... incredible atmosphere and crowd... it was so fantastic to see Axl Duff and Slash again... I can hardly talk after singing and screaming all night!! I’ll post more when I recover... I must just say it was so lovely to meet @Hejanne who is such a sweetie and looked after the early entry crowd - I’m so happy we managed to meet up!! Also greetings to @NorwegianGirl whom I didn’t get a chance to speak to but saw at the rail, I’m so happy for you that Axl acknowledged you !! His smile, oh my god it would melt a heart of stone!!

Maybe I'll meet you next time😀 Was a great show!! Always good to see Axl smiling💖

  2. Don't know where to post this. Feel free to move it. But I'm not going anymore as I'm going to the Oslo show, so I'm selling my Golden circle-VIP early entry package.

Original price was 2267 DKK, but I'm willing to sell it for at least 50% off. I attended 5 shows last summer and really enjoyed the EE package at each show! Anyone interested?

The band didn't react too well when Axl came in early "oh shit, he's doing something different... we haven't rehearsed this :o" And yeh he said at the end "I respect the job that security do, but use a bit of common sense when it's a five year old girl". My question is, why is a parent bringing a 5 year old to the barrier? In my opinion there's too much of a crush happening at the barrier, much better experience for a child 20/30 people back from the stage. If an adult or older kid wants to go up to the barrier that's on them, but I wouldn't bring a very young kid up there.

And how did they get to the front without queuing for hours? If not infact they did... which is impressive that a 5 year old would have that kind of patience

Apologies ahead of time for removing posts that were well thought out responses to unnecessary nonsense.

Lets keep things positive to Norwegian Girl's account and avoid arguing over technicalities.

Great story Norwegian Girl!  I remember the first time Axl acknowledged me in the crowd back in 2002. Definitely a surreal feeling!

Thank you! Ah cool! Was it something you did or just suddenly you and him locking eyes? :)

Damn that's you NorwegianGirl, I remember you from the Copenhagen golden circle line, you were like first in line when we got into that "tunnel" right before we got let inside of the concert area. Would've said hi if I had read this thread before.

Oh, you definately should have!! Always cool to meet members from this forum! Maybe next time! :)

I finally had the heart to listen to some Axl/DC stuff, couldn't get into it last year, as I was really angry and sad of Brians departure and whatever the actual reasons where. But god damn did I get goosebumps just from watching these Youtube clips. The vocal performances on these songs are out of this world. I really hope this voice comes back to the GnR concerts at some point. Would be legendary.

And the amazing thing was, as we walked out of the concert (I attended the one in Aarhus, Denmark), everyone was talking about how GREAT he was:heart: People saying "I was sceptical, but he nailed it". And those were hard core AC/DC fans. I even felt sometimes I was at a Gn'R concert, because he still put on the "Axl Rose" we all know persona on stage. Running around, dancing, dressing up in his flannel shirt and bandana and his voice was so raspy and cool!! Great experience

Just wanted to say @NorwegianGirl girl much luck in your back surgery and recovery! I had major back surgery 2 years ago after suffering for 5 years. It was extremely successful and I hope yours is too. Chin up and thanks for sharing your Axl story with us. :)

So happy it was successful for you!! It's a big thing to have an operation in the back. But then again, it's impossible to live with a 24/7 pain. And I really appriciate your kind words. So many great people on this forum! :)

  7. In stockholm I met that woman who travells the world to see Slash, (tako217 on instragram), maybe she's a member here??

We talked about future plans for Gn'R next summer, because I said I hope they'll back in Europe then, but then she said to me "no, Slash has other plans going on" for...was it a year? At least she seemed to be very "in the know" about that, so then I thought Axl will go back to doing AC/DC stuff then next year and then Gn'R will come back in a year or two...

    But who knows!! I wouldn't mind some AXL/DC again...

  8. I recently attended 5 concerts with my friend and we were always at the rail, infront of the catwalk so one of the speakers was right infront of us. And yes, it's noticable that there is a change in his voice, it's a clean voice. But we allready knew it though before we attended the shows and we didn't have any less fun because of it:) Actually, and this is not intended to sound "mean" but we made it in to something fun... for instance: We don't really enjoy the SCOM voice he uses right now, so when the song came on, we looked at each other and kind of smiled like "allright. Let's go" But never in a "oh no...<_<" type of way. I know they will never replace that song, but would be cool to throw in something else, like "Bad obsession". Wouldn't that suit his voice better now?

    Could be 2 things

    1) Blocking the view to others behind her and her dad

    2) The risk she might fall or get hurt by people jumping and pushing around

    That's true.

I just thought it would be worse to get her smashed against the rail? But like you said, a 5 year old in the pit???? Crazy! Should have bought seats for sure

    57 minutes ago, Padme said:

Well since Axl watched the whole thing. They were in the GA/Pit for sure. And I agree I would buy seats if I'm going with a little girl.

Oops! Sorry, I had not heard this before and just read that he had mentioned something about a girl (someone here said she was 15) :shrugs:

Thank you for the video, now I hear it clearly, yes he says 5 years old. Lol. Poor kid.

    No problem?

I can't imagen the sequrity asking her dad to take her down from his shoulders?? But I don't know if that's the case either (?)

    Belly-flopped you mean haha?

If it isn't the local security being wankers it is Rose's posse (Fernando etc) and not Rose himself. They are over protective. According to Duff's book they stopped McKagan from approaching when that chance meeting happened in a London hotel and it was Rose who intervened and said, ''no, let him in''. In my opinion it was them who were behind the Slash t-shirt thing.

    I believe this too.

This guy was in a black shirt. And after that, all banners were removed, also the next day. So it seemed like the arena sequrity just followed their own rules (banners allowed at a certain size), but then they were told by -someone- it's not allowed at the GnR shows.

The same thing happened to me in munich. I was front row and had a banner "thanx for this Reunion" ...really a simple and harmless thing. The second I tried to show the banner to axl , head of security ripped it off my hands looking angry at me. Really rude.

At the end of the show the guy thanked the other securities , so I dont know if this guy travels with the band or what but his behaviour is awful. I mean the banner wasn t nasty or anything. I just wanted to thank the band as I waited 20 + years to see this...

    Disgusting behaviour.
