  1. I never wanna let you party with me if thats your idea of fun :P

Im not trying to fool you

Even though its not hard too

I think he is really shit

Hes shit but my god you dont know it!

:( You never want to party with me? But... but... I am fun. :P

  2. The Streets - A Grand Don't Come for Free

*Hides and prepares to be flamed*

No flaming from me, darlin'. Love that record.

And you have the cheek to say I have a lousy taste in music! :P;)

*hangs head* I'm very sorry. Forgive me my ignorance, I had no idea.

But, c'mon, that record is fun. ;)^_^

  3. Chinese Democracy....Oh it's not out yet??? Damn.

    No doubt:

Iron Maiden - Dance of Death.

    Honorable mentions:

    Contraband.

    The system has failed.

Dance Of Death was a 2003 release.

I change my mind; the album of the year is Megadeth -- The System Has Failed.

  4. Hey I love to love maroon5.. well at least I did before you made this post..

    now I'm a bit ashamed :(

Bear with me sister. I love Maroon 5, too. You can't blame SofaKingWhat and whoever for having such lousy taste in music. ;):P

I like both Nirvana and Teen Spirit--they're not amazing, but still good.

  5. ^^ A Greatest Hits record can never be Album of the Year.

I wish I could say Contraband, but alas, it's not that good. American Idiot came to mind when I read the title of this thread. I'ma go with Green Day.

  6. Megadeth all the way, even though I've never liked Mustaine's voice all that much. But I just love, love, love 'Deth and I think The System Has Failed is awesome. Metallica has just sucked a big fucking dick since ....And Justice for All, IMO. But, to be honest, neither band is really wat they used to be.

  7. Not my thing. When I was at a concert they played last and I left early, I just thought they sucked.

Btw is the singer gay? I thought so, but then I saw him with a girl at some awards show thing.

Perry Farrell is bisexual, or least he "experiments." :P

  8. I love Jane's Addiction. Ritual de lo Habitual is classic, IMO.

You're right though, they should stop reuniting every time. They're ruining their legacy that way, much like a certain other rock star has been doing for the past few years. <_<

  9. I'm curious, which band said that? :monkey:

AC/DC !!!! If you already haven't you really should check them out, really!, the song is rock and roll ain't noise pollution, off the album Back in Black, which is one of the biggest albums ever made.

I own their '92 Live album, the collector's edition, which is one of my favorite records. But "Rock 'n' Roll ain't Noise Pollution" isn't on there, so I've never heard it. Am I musically challenged for not owning Back In Black?

  10. Anyway chill.. as a great band once said: "Rock and roll ain't noise pollution, rock and roll ain't gonna die!"

I'm telling you, in a couple of years time all this rap culture, mass-produced pop acts etc will have settled down.. it's just like a cycle.. the public will only totorate it for so long.

I'm curious, which band said that? :monkey:

I disagree with you on that point. Rock was the main music style for, say, thirty years. Who's to say it won't go the same with rap? Who's to say rap, in various incarnations, won't be the new rock for the next so many years? IMO, rock (as the main music style) is dead. There's no such thing as it being in a cycle. It's dead.

  11. Led Zeppelin - Box Set

    Black Sabbath - Reunion

    Motorhead - Ace Of Spades

    AC/DC - Live

    VR - Contraband

    Megadeth - Rust In Peace

:P The beauty of good taste. Those are my choices as well, except Appetite replaces Contraband on my list.

  12. The best and FIRST show I ever saw: Guns N' Roses, October 2nd, 1987, Paradiso in Amsterdam. I was only eight--became a fan that night. Oh, the memories. :D

Can't remember the last show I saw. Lotsa local bands, nothing big.

  13. Just out of interest, when do they release their second album?

No release date has been announced, but they did recently finish recording their second album. All they gotta do is come up with a title (apparently they're toying with the idea of naming it "Hot Cock" or something to that extent.) The only reason I know this, is because the annoying obese kid next door won't shut the hell up about it.

  14. "...Think The Darkness but more Whitesnake than Queen...."

    Kerrang!

More Whitesnake than Queen? No thanks.

Then again, any band that somehow manages to bring old skool rock back into the mainstream is cool in my book (yes, even The Darkness :P).

  15. My band's pretty much a harder-edged version of Appetite-era GN'R. But I agree with Big Boy Sixx, you gotta be creative and draw ideas from your influences, not just be some lame rip off.

I don't really have a big goal for my band or anything, it's just fun. Plus, we don't have what it takes to make it, not that we're not good, but the guys in my band are like revolving door clients from rehab to jail and back. Maybe one of these days I'll pull an Axl and fire them all, then hire some more reliable people. Nah. :P

  16. And Steven just said: ´Erin has started fade into blue.` Without a worry in his voice like heroin overdose is an everyday thing.

That's cos when you're hooked on horse, it is an everyday thing. And aside from that, Steven's never exactly been Einstein. Still, that whole story is pretty intense. Never heard all those details.

Hanoi are great. Especially Dead By Christmas is awesome. Axl said he could really relate to that track. Now, I don't know about that, but the song rules.
