I messaged the artist on Instagram and told him the die hard a eagerly await his next creation on show day. He responded and was excited to know the fans were loving his works. He also said he was not picked for the Dallas show.

Damn - now I wanna know who's doing the Dallas show since that's the one I'm going to !!!!

The part that caught my eye:

The hall said in a statement that it still plans to induct Rose with the rest of the group. "We are sorry he will not be able to accept his induction in person," it said.

Can Axl take legal action over this? I'm wondering since he seems so adamant that he not be inducted by stating it in several different ways in the letter. He spends half his life in courtrooms anyway.I think that would be downright hilarious if he tried to sue over this or take some kind of legal action....... :rofl-lol:

  3. I totally support Axl 's decision. Like others have said, he's staying true to himself. The man has integrity and self-respect. What he did takes a lot of guts. Though it's disappointing that he personally won't be inducted, I still respect his decision. And honestly, are you guys really that surprised? Axl's dedicated to his band. Not the band he used to play with. I'm just glad he's not giving in to what he doesn't want to do. There aren't many guys like him out there. And that's why he's my hero.

I couldn't have said it any better

  4. I've seen The Sword a few times in clubs around Ft Worth and they are awesome. They have a pretty big following around Texas.I also saw them open for Down and Metallica in Houston in 2008.From what I understand,Metallica are big fans and gave them that opening slot. They are kick ass live-I was going to skip Buckcherry since I'm not a fan and arrive late to see GN'R,but there's no way I'm missing The Sword opening for GN'R-whoever booked this show knocked it out of the park!

  5. Don't waste your time or money - i bought a copy through a book dealer in New York a few years back for $100 knowing that the book is out of print and hard to find.Let's just say that i was less than impressed - i never even made it through the whole book. The book just felt like it was written by someone very young and without a lot of writing experience. The stories came off as something written by someone in high school. If you collect rare and hard to find GN'R related items, then it is up there with those, however,if you are buying it for the read then you can do way way better.......Just my opinion......Peace

  6. adjective

    1. of the nature of or made or done as a trial, experiment, or attempt; experimental:

    2. unsure; uncertain; not definite or positive; hesitant

    3. Not fully worked out, concluded, or agreed on; provisional: tentative plans.

    4.Uncertain; hesitant.

March 6th doesnt sound too definite to me....

Excelent point. I've been noticing this in both fans and media ever since the letter was put out. People and especialy media often misquote it and say it as it's a 100% sure thing. Which only leads to more shit for gnr if they don't make it.

Exactly - every outlet that has picked this up is leaving out the "tentative" part and reporting it as the exact release date. Now ,if March 6th comes and goes without the record then you'll probably see a bunch of "Axl lies again!!" stories pop up all over the place when he never guaranteed that it would be out on that date to begin with. The troubling part of this is that most fans know the score, but the casual person just laughs and says "He's full of shit - that album is never coming out" - this is what most people say to me on a daily basis - i just hate how shit gets twisted in the press........ :anger:

  7. I don't even see Brain or Frank mentioned under the section entitled "Meet the new Guns N' Roses" on the official website - maybe they don't need a drummer after all. :P I really think the drummer status is up in the air -a few days ago under the same section,Frank was listed as the drummer and it didn't say anything about him just filling in for Brain.Brain was nowhere to be mentioned - now neither of them are mentioned -weird :o

  8. Sorry if this has been posted already - i didn't see it anywhere on here...the sample that Axl speaks of is in Madagascar,so it looks as if it will definitely be on CD..........from Blabbermouth.net

AXL ROSE Comments On MICHAEL J. FOX FOUNDATION Dinner Appearance - Nov. 14, 2006

GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose spoke to People magazine about his appearance Saturday (Nov. 11) at the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research fundraising dinner at The Waldorf-Astoria in New York City, titled "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's..." Rose reportedly performed "Live and Let Die", a cover of the PAUL MCCARTNEY AND WINGS track, with THE BEATLES tribute band THE FAB FAUX at the event, which was co-chaired by Martin Scorsese and Muhammad Ali.

Why the performance? "Michael had asked," Rose told People. "We actually used a sample of Michael J. Fox from [his film] 'Casualties of War' in one of our songs that will be on the new album. So I felt, one, I've always been a fan of his. And I also feel for the guy and his situation. I'm for stem-cell research, so I just thought it would be wrong not for me to come when I was asked."

  9. In most of the pics she is with a guy named Vegas - when i went to the Hammerstein show on the 17th,Axl repeatedly mentioned this guy when he was thanking people - i think the guy was taking him to clubs and hotspots around New York while he was there - it looks like he got to tour Europe with Guns -lucky bastard.....:P
