I grew up in the area. There isn't much around (mind you I haven't been back in years) arnis pizza is worth the stop, also vons records (if it's still there?) is worth it to see.

If you were in to blind melon/Shannon hoon at all, shannons grave is in a nearby small town (dayton) his grave is towards the back of the cemetery. You cant miss it, it normally has a bunch of stuff people leave on it.

I know izzy still goes back to Lafayette from time to time. Haven't heard about axl being back since  the mid to late 90s.

Paul Huge owns an electronics store now?

That's a myth, the one thing. For sure with the current band is that They didn't vote in and vote out certain members. It's just denial from people who were antit Axl and anti nugnr who don't want to believe what is going on. They're managing the gigs and who gets paid what between the 3 of them, but Axl has the final say. They didn't vote on ashba, or fortus, or frank, or pitman or anyone else. That is fiction, like it or not this is axls band still and he clearly has the final say. They're playing the songs like nugnr did and they're playing nugnr songs. Yeah, it's axls call

I mean they have to be voted in to join the partnership. Not the band.

Absolute rubbish. If I buy a newspaper I can choose to read it, make paper planes out of it or chuck it in the bin as it is mine! If I buy a beer, I can drink it or leave it. But regarding the argument, If Slash and Duff, even assuming they are equal shareholders with Axl thus outvoting Axl 2:1, wanted to say, release an album or include Izzy in the reunion, would they have the power to do so? No. Would Axl have that power? Yes. This whole 'partnership' thing is a collosal fudge used by Izzy and Adler's detractors on this forum. It is just some gibberish relating to licensing and t-shirts - and it is curious as, before the reunion, it was used as a stick to beat Slash with haha.

The partnership agreement specifically says there needs to be a unanimous vote to add or subtract members.

I recall reading Slash saying they wrote songs for VR when Izzy joined them for 2 weeks, he said they wrote like 10 songs before Izzy disappeared cause he was so fed up with Axl that he didn't want to deal with another singer (Slash's words )  did any of those songs actually became a VR song?

I personally love Izzy's lyrics, they definitely have that bitter, sarcastic tone. I find Pretty tied up to be fucking brilliant.

I've always wondered this. He has no writing credits on Contraband. But he did perform You Got No Right live with them once.

  5. All 3 members of the partnership have to agree to let someone else join (or leave).  The terms for that would involve a purchase I would guess. And I'm betting that the Guns N Roses entity's value has increased significantly in the last 9 months. Izzy may not be able to afford a piece at that fair value.

And also, assuming the Duff quote about Izzy getting his 25% back is legit, who's to say it's Duff that won't let him back in. Maybe he was speaking for Slash or Axl.

Also noticed it breaks down recording and performing and how proceeds would or wouldn't be split. For example solo performances and recordings aren't. Two of the partners would have to say record together.

I'm reading more on that part but interesting stuff. Nice refresher.

I'm curious about this part. Did this somehow give Axl a cut of VR stuff or Slash a part of the shows Duff played with Axl in 2014?

Its pretty obvious that slash and Duff already used these ideas in their albums ;)

Possibly. That's something I've always wondered. Izzy has no writing credits on Contraband so they probably didn't use any of his ideas. He played at Scott's wife's fashion show though. You Got No Right was part of the 2 song set, so maybe he had a hand in writing that.

One of Slash, Duff or Matt said that the material they worked on with Izzy was the best GnR album since Appetite. Be interesting if that actually exists if it was something they could bring to the table.
