I was in the 500 level and naturally watch a bunch of the show on the video screen.  I'm not sure the camera operators knew Duff was there.

Great closeups of the Slash guitar work though.  I've seen Slash with Velvet Revolver before where he was also amazing but nothing beats seeing him where he belongs.

    Here here!!

I have listen to countless  hours of all the shows to date. The solos seemed very tight including the one slash played pre good father theme. And they most be listening cause KOHD sounded quite all right too and I am including Fortus- his pieces were very good.

    Overall a great show!!!

Yeah great meeting you and thanks again for the drinks! In my part of town the security was brutal (woman). She targeted my friend and I. I'm going to get in touch with Rogers Center about it. However, the show was amazing, rocking out, sister tried to throw her undies on stage (too funny!) and feet so sore ?

I got appetite in 87 when I was in 3rd grade.I wore out several tapes and then u know how cds get scratched so I bought the CD a few times over the years too. This thread is blasphemy. It's the only album I've never gotten burned out on.Nashville was a religious experience for me.I like most every other gnr freak from back in the day would have loved to see the original lineup play those 12 songs.I was hoping for Anything Goes but I'm not complaining.2016 is like a time machine has took us back to the good ol days.I just hope we get a new album while the iron is hot.

So glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this. @Kasanova King it's always been one of my favourites to watch live (through the TV) and was looking forward to seeing it in real life so much at Vegas. It was the only thing that disappointed me about the whole night. .

I don't mind the Ritz version, but LOVE the Illusion era live version of it. I even like the reggae..... :takethat:

For me Freddie Mercury is the pinnacle performance of that song. But I know it's all about personal taste, I'm sure others will disagree

Agree. The ritz version is also up there in the me liky version

  6. I thought I was alone not digging the jamming version of KOHD been played during this tour. I love this fricking forum !!!

KOHD has been a Guns staple song since the 80s and they made it better through the UYI live performances.

Growing up this was my to go song. Live Freddy Mercury tribute and the acoustic version in Argentina are in my opinion the bests versions. Still when I hear it there is something about it that just gets me.

I know the guys are still getting to know each other musically and live they seem to be jamming a bit through it but you can see where it's going. By the time they hit Europe that song will be perfected live. I am a believer just as I believe Izzy will come back to play it one day.

  7. That's a good set of questions Ronin.

I drum and Steven's drumming is awesome to play. But the issue was more than who got along with who. If you were able to keep your shit together and play while drinking or shooting up, well, then you were all right. The problem is that drugs really took hold of Steven and his playing became off. There are stories of rehab, of the band members trying to be there, of issues with Axl's wife been put into a hospital by Adler drugs and other f/up stories. So the probabilities of what happened and how it all went down its really for them to say. But at the end i really think that it all boiled down to been able to play. If Steve  wasn't able to keep tempo and/or rythim while at the studio during the UYI years - live, well the shows would have been shit. One thing is playing guitar or bass when another instrument can cover you up. But singing or drumming, you fucking up and everyone will know. And they had planned this massive tour and having a loose ends may had fudge them up royally both legally and economically. Once they were rolling a decicion had to be made.

I don't dislike Sorum. He put his 5 cents and hold it very nicely during his tenure. He is an amazing drummer. He is behind finishing a few songs like November Rain and would love to see him back as well.
