"All things considered ", there are a ton of less than stellar examples online of Axl's uncontrollable rasp during the 90's. It was so bad during their pre illusion release tour..
We've all heard it..
He sung with unsustainable, reckless abandon back on those days. For the most part we all loved.
But as an adult, now, I can see how fucking hard that must have been on his throat !
Thankfully, he woke up to himself, otherwise we wouldn't be catching him singing anymore.
They're my two cents

Right at the beginning of the The Seeker, Slash yelled out to the band n crowd "let's go" with so much passion n power then they tore it up. It was fucking amazing.
Slash LOVES playing The Seeker.
I definitely saw the band get right into it...

It doesn't make me angry per say, im more of a moderate when it comes to this place. I usually do not come to this forum to discuss, but more to search out news and contribute when i can. I don't trash on things i dislike about GNR, and i tend to stay away from praising everything they do as well.
The main reason i try not to get into discussions is because i feel as if everyone just loves to tell you that your wrong here. They state opinions as facts and expect you to believe them even if you know they are inaccurate.
You may think that i've tried to do just that, but in actuality I just attempted to express a solution to what seems to be countless pointless arguments about things that never matter.
All i've tried to do is a present a solution to a problem that honestly cannot be solved by my simple enraged comments on a website, and is probably so minute in our every day lives that its the last thing that we should be worried about.
I don't expect anyone to 100% obey my orders as if i was in some sort of position to be looked up too, i more or less just wanted to give some food for thought to those who just stay on these websites to complain about EVERYTHING.
I come to this website specifically because it just feels right. Nowhere else is more professional, diverse, or friendlier in my opinion then this one.
I just hate to see people destroy their image of whatever made them love GNR by just consistently nitpicking everything.
As fans we have no control over what this band does. Sometimes we simply have to sit back and be grateful for what we have instead of wanting more, less, or something different.
Well put fella

so you are telling people how they should behave, what they should like, what they should do, how they are suppose to feel?
do you realize that thats likely the most UN-GNR thing you can do?
I don't think he's saying that..
He's saying, enjoy them, for better or worse...

I personally love Jump in now, I think is one of Izzy's best songs to date.
My two are sweet caress and up jumped the devil..
One is a cover, but for me they both showed another side to his musicality..
Jump in now is definitely a well written tune..

Why does he wear sunglasses indoors? Does he have an eye condition like Bono, P Diddy and Lenny Kravitz?
Maybe... or maybe he just likes to.

Izzy fn' Stradlin is relevant to GNR fans. If you (whether you like his solo stuff or not) don't care about Izzy Stradlin, you should seriously reconsider if a GNR forum is a place for you to be.
Of course most of us care more about a GNR album than an Izzy solo album, but how could it be wrong to talk about Izzy? How could this be a shitty topic to have on the main page?
I have a theory about all this nonsense- the ones harping on about izzy this and and izzy that are so called nugnr fans- they have no inkling of the impact that gnr made back in the day and likely don't care to.
It's these guys/gals that often don't care to hear about adler or sorum for that matter.
That's just my thought....

Dime a fuckin dozen flash in the fuckin pan. They had a gimmick song on MTV. Just because he's seated at the elbow of the Messiah himself in the JuJu's doesn't make him some guitar legend, nor does it mean you can compare the Georgia fuckin Satellites to the Black Crowes!
The messiah himself !
Have an issue with ol izzy do we?

I clearly remember the shit that G n' Regards copped for this song..
For me, I enjoyed it, but it was polar opposites to the crazy grunge scene and all that..
It stopped being cool to like them and I think that had more to do with it, as opposed to sympathy being a bad track etc...

STOP with this Izzy propaganda on this message board. Are some of you paid for this propaganda? or what?
It's all about Fortus now. It's been all about him for the last 15 years.
MOVE ON
Some care, some don't.
Deal with it.

What? Since when does all the blame always fall on Axl? Slash has been destroyed on this forum for almost twenty years. A mental stupid junkie who is obsessed with cash and publicity whose entire career is owed to his association to Axl. That was the mantra of Axl worshippers on this forum for almost twenty years. Of course, once he and Axl reconnected then - magically - all that hate disappeared. (Funny how fans change their opinion solely based on what Axl is doing).
Now go read the comments in this topic. Pretty much every post longer than a sentence has placed the blame on all members of the band. Axl turning into a dictator, Izzy quitting, Slash/Duff/Adler becoming drug addicts. Nobody is solely blaming Axl.
This "everybody is always out to get Axl" narrative really doesn't line up with reality. This topic proves that.
Absolutely..

Will anybody else be seriously bummed if the classic 5 doesn't regroup for AFD's 30th anniversary?
