  1. let me tell you something.

if youre a big slash fan (im sure you are) then buy LP STANDARD !!!

there is no worse feeling than spending 1K on a Studio and then regreting not having a Standard. as someone here said, be patient, save a few extra bucks and get the real thing.

im not saying that LP Studio is a bad guitar, the opposite, its a great guitar.

but i understand youre buying this guitar to be your MAIN GUITAR, so i advise you to go for a Standard.

    But...

if youre just a regular musician that is looking for a good (no as expensive) instrument then the Studio is your choise. theres not much dif between the two models.

    goodluck :D

  2. Just keep practicing. Try working more on your timing, play along with the CD. Also, work more on your bending. Your bends are WAAAAY off. And remember, Slash does alot of reverse bending on that song. Reverse bending is where you play the note, bend it up, and then bend it back to the original note. Don't just bend, and then stop.

    not exactly.

if you're talkin about the 'bridge solos', if you will, then he uses the pre-bend

    technique...

which is bending the note up, then hitting it and release.

  3. hey guys, does anyone have the sheet music for november rain?

i've seen it on this site a while ago, but now i can't find it.

i remember that it was a link to a site which contained mp3,videos,

    and sheet music (scanned).

if anyone have it on their hard drive please PM me.

    thanks alot :D

  4. good work dude, i like all the layering you did.  I'd probably cop out and just do one guitar track

I know you said you used the podxt, but is that just an effects unit, or did you actually record onto that?

i'm not sure what you mean...

i used a backing track, and recorded the guitar through

    PODxt's USB connection.

    the PODxt itself cannot record.

No big deal, just wondering what you used to record. Whether it was a computer or a stand-alone unit. Personally, i use cubase and i have an m-audio sound card that i go through.

that's the great thing about PODxt...

you don't need no sound card, mic, amp or a mixer (which can be very expensive)

just plug on the usb and you're done ;)
