  1. What’s missing from the piece is that one of these men is the President of the United States, and the other is a rock star. One ran for and was elected to a job in which he would represent 300 million people, and the other is a rock star representing himself. It’s not unreasonable to expect your president to have a better moral and ethical compass than a rock star. I think Axl is aware of that. He’s not saying he’s not problematic, he’s saying the President is supposed to be better, I think.

  2. To be perfectly honest? It’s White dudes and the White ladies who support them. The lens you’re looking through is White Dude. That’s who created the laws, enforce them, and benefit the most. The White Dudes who wrote the constitution were wealthy slave owners who really just wanted property owners (other rich White dudes) to vote and participate in government. Everything in the US flows from that. And because America is relatively young, anything that happened 25 years or more ago is ancient history. Except for the Founding Fathers who are treated like gods, of course. As Americans, we’re all soaking in rich, White dude bullshit, and it’s difficult to swim against. A lot of people support the status quo because they believe someday they’ll own a yacht on shit lake.

I guess yeah... Lol Axl finally woke up for real

Still, I don't buy his shit...... He sounds like someone who's been dormant for an entire century.

What he describes about Trump now and the alienation going on inside his own country is what most third world countries have suffered for decades at the hand of USA governments.

I'm glad they are drinking from their own medicine but at the same time, just like any other USA government, they want to share that glass of poison with the entire world.

So fuck woke Axl and fuck imperialism, fuck the USA and fuck crapitalism... this play is more of the same old hypocrisy.

This is pretty much how most Americans function TBH. I was in my late 30s before I understood American imperialism, and I still don’t have a good grasp on all of it. Our history classes are...bizarre. Even up through college, unless you’re interested in specific aspects of history, you pretty much get up to the Constitution and after that it’s like, then there was a civil war and World War II and now we are awesome and like baseball.

I feel weird discussing politics in this thread. Does everybody feel comfortable with this?

It’s really interesting for me. And a nice break from the US election talk which is scaring the shit out of me on the daily. It’s good to hear perspectives from other country’s citizens.

So they consider him "aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)" because he tweets little bullshits about Trump?

Woke is African American Vernacular slang that fell out of fashion awhile ago. It’s not meant to be taken seriously the way it’s being used here, if that helps.

  6. I’ve seen some good pics pop up on twitter...but the motorcycle piano seat is so cheesy I expect him to show up with it in Vegas wearing a rhinestone jumper and a feather boa and playing a slow jazz gnr  set list with a full choir.

  7. Yeah. She did soft core porn pics back in the day, and her immigration status was based on outstanding gifts that would benefit the US. There were rumors of prostitution, but no proof of it. It’s shady.

I use Twitter a lot and journalists are having a ball with “woke” Axl.

Add that to your list, of what & what not to do. Also, don't attend any concerts dressed up as your favourite GnR person, it's not a Halloween party.

Unless it’s an LA show. They wear those stretch acid washed jeans to court and funerals.
