http://loudwire.com/guns-n-roses-vs-motley-crue-classic-cage-match/?trackback=fbshare_top
Since Motley Crue's Facebook page is actively promoting this poll, I thought I'd do some promoting of my own here.

Surprised I didn't see this topic on the first page. If you haven't already voted, you should, GNR is losing to Ed Sheeran right now:

Full Bracket: http://www.mtv.com/news/musical_march_madness/
Edit: Now GNR is ahead 51-48%.
-
I guess they have too much inventory? That seems kind of cheap, considering the CD is only a few years old.
-
Another day, another incredibly dumb thread. Honestly, who are you people that start threads like these? Have you asked yourself where your life is going?
I know Howard Stern is not responsible for breaking up GNR...........I was just trying to have some fun and share an Axl interview (that some may not have heard yet) with the board.
-
I'm sure most of you have already heard this, but I just heard it now:
I wonder what Axl thought after this interview? Maybe some of the things Howard said had an effect on Axl.
-
I believe a reunion is possible (with everyone except Steven Adler)............
Why is that? I just saw Adler's band play this past week and I can attest that he looked sober and didn't miss a beat. You're clearly talking out of your ass with this comment.
Adler's career is not even close to being at the same level as the careers of the other four original members. There is a reason for this: the guy is completely unstable. Sure, he might be ok today, but judging from past history, there's a chance he won't be fine tomorrow. He has cleaned up his act several times before and every time he goes back to his old drug habits.
If there was ever a big reunion, it's more likely we'd see Matt Sorum on drums than Steven Adler.
-
Nintari, you make a good point. I don't think Axl would allow his band to release crap. However, this seems to reinforce my belief that if there ever was a reunion, no new music would be released!
-
........does it really matter? I used to think I wanted a full reunion, but after seeing Izzy and Duff on stage with Axl, I don't think I care anymore. The music with either of these guys playing doesn't sound any different from Axl's lineup, other than (I guess?) hearing slightly different backing vocals. Duff's stage presence isn't anything unique or special.........he just walks around. He's not David Lee Roth with a bass. Izzy just stands still the whole time.
Without new music, I don't care about a reunion.
I believe a reunion is possible (with everyone except Steven Adler)............but I think a reunited GNR writing new songs and releasing a (good) album is nearly impossible. These guys are pushing 50 right now......how many veteran rock musicians release a groundbreaking album post-50 years old? I thought Chinese Democracy was a good, solid album....but Axl started it when he was in his 30s. Contraband was average at best and Libertad was just awful.
My question, for those of you who are dying to see a reunion.........what are you really expecting? Appetite For Destruction II? Or do you just want to see the original members on stage together? If the latter is the case, then do you expect the music on-stage to be any different from what we're hearing now with Axl's current lineup?

I couldn't stop you from getting ganked,
Now let's play big bank take lil bank

Out of the new stuff, I prefer Sick Love Song and even (to a lesser extent) I'm A Liar (And That's The Truth).
To the people who like it, what do you think of this song:
-
I'm asking what their most popular rock song is, not necessarily the best or what you like the most.
-
When I say "rocker," I mean fast paced, upbeat tempo, ect. If we were talking about GNR, WTTJ would be a rocker (and November Rain would be a ballad).
I consider Everlong to be more ballad than rocker.
What do you think? What's their most popular rocker?

Where can one find a link to this download?
-
Okay, I get it.
-
It's $150 flat for each ticket ($300 for both). There are no hidden fees, taxes, or surcharges.....I would be buying it from some guy on my college campus in person (so no shipping, either).
It's "lower level," section 111 in the Bankatlantic center.....I just wonder what face value is for those.
-
Someone just offered me 2 tickets to see Van Halen. $150 each.
Lower level, row 28, seat#s 5 and 6 section 111 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Is there any way to know the face value for these tickets? Is this a good deal? I know lower level tickets have a range of something like $75-$145.

At like 1:13, the lead singer's jacket says "Guns N' Roses."
Kind of cool.
-
Check out The Heart Attacks (mainly their cover of Traveling Band). Awesome new (post 2006) stuff. I know quite a few GNR fans who also like The Heart Attacks.
-
Where's the best link?

Not really my kind of thing, but modern sleaze rock is still interesting to me.
-
I would agree with this topic, but "Sick Love Song" kicks ass.
-
I didn't mean his lyrics were deep or anything like that.......they just sound good. He's a good pop lyricist in the sense that he can write very catchy songs that have a fun or an interesting subject matter.
Homeland: Season 4 [SPOILERS]
in SEEN THAT MOVIE TOO
Posted
The first half of this week's episode reminded me of 24 (in a good way). Also, it seems that Peter Quinn will turn into Jack Bauer for next week's episode.
I hated Season 3. Hated it. But my mom was sad to see Brody and his storyline die, probably because my mom has a crush on Damien Lewis.
