  1. It seems clear to me that the apollo show is the only thing theyre doing for Afd 30 and without steven of izzy involved at all....well maybe they will let poor steven come out and play one song same as before....but thats it.....nothing new or special.....just a private show for a bunch of VIPs....music industry insiders and friends of he band....and to add insult to injury...they are doing the show in NYC rather than homebase LA where it all started ....as it should be.....its all so lame and insulting its just beyond belief.....oh well.....i guess that shows u where there heads are at.....such bullshit.....i hope i am wrong about this....but I really don't think so....given how they.ve been regarding Steven and Izzy this whole tour.....why change now.....???.https://www.tenor.co/GvIi.gif

  2. I sadly have to agree....but more because I feel Axl  just won't agree to it more than anything else.....and not for the above stated business reasons....though possibly valid to a certain degree.....but just becuz he personally doesn't want to.include our guys.....for even one night?.....just Axl being the way we know he can be and that occasionally pisses us off when it results in a once in a lifetime moment for  the fans like this being passed up on?....i really hope i am wrong on this one..?..but my gut tells me I am probably not☹

It won't be AFD5. The videos are more than discouraging for that. Moreover it wouldn't make sense and it would be damaging from a business POV to do a couple of AFD5 shows and then return to the current lineup.

One the other hand, I don't think it will be just more tour dates, because making three videos and talking about a surprise announcement is too much if it is just that. As for the theories about a co-headlining tour with whoever (Aerosmith, The Who, Metallica...), they don't seem plausible to me, as the videos don't sent any such vibe and they are all about GnR (the "big 3" more specifically).

My money now is on one or two anniversary shows in L.A. (and maybe a couple more in other big cities) with the current lineup and some big names as "special guests" (e.g. Steven Tyler, Dave Grohl, Angus, etc.).

  4. They're going to announce an AFD5 show around the world because if it's only one...time zone doesn't matter as the craziest and wealthiest fans from around the world are going to fly in for that one??.....cuz in will cost a small fortune to attend the show just based on tix prices alone....so when u add in travel costs....holy crap..??..can anyone say....time to take out a 2nd mortgage????

  5. Hey all....if by some miracle of God Axl actually agrees to an AFD5 show or shows in LA.....i live in the general area....so if I am crazy enough to max out a couple of my credit cards in order to get a tix up front I will be sure to get it on Izzy s side of the stage and will take lots of videos to post....but if the seats are pushing 20,000?? like they might then I will have to pass....but if it can be done for 10k.....then I will do it.?.....and post a shit load of stuff for you all....

  6. If it was AFD5...for just a show or two...And I seriously doubt it will be knowing Axl.....then yes all the tix will sell out in a split sec and the broker prices will be obscenely high...?.so the comment above regarding cashing in your IRA or 401K won't be far off??.....i may just be able to afford a seat at the back of the LA Coluseum because the demand for this show will go way beyond dodger stadium....even if they play two or three shows.....i imagine floor seats up front will be well in excess of 10,000 if you have to buy them from the brokers.....and trust me.....most of us will.....so I guess I am sitting in the back this time?

  7. As you all know Izzy is a very private guy and only reaches out when he feels like it which is obviously not often.....but u have to respect the man, his integrity and what a huge part he played in creating GNRs music....his writing talent and his unique sicopated rhythm guitar style was and is an essential part of GNR....and is noticeably and saddly missing from the current lineups sound....though it's still an awesome show....i saw them 3 times in 2016. Hopefully something can be done to make it worth his while to play at least a few AFD anniversary shows. In the meantime i feel that he's probably fairly happy living his private life in the hills above Ventura.....i actually know where he lives....and he lives fairly modestly...but I wouldn't think of ever disturbing the man as I have way to much respect for him and his privacy, though he's the one gunner....other than Slash....that I would love to have the opportunity to shake his hand and thank him for his music and what he brought to GNR
