...if you want to send the aliens back to their home planet. U2 is one of the most overrated bands in the history of music, their a skid mark on a pair of Hanes.

Jimi Hendrix was and is the definitive guitar player, simply because he learned to play ass backwards and had more command of the instrument then any other soul before him. He developed his own style and furthered rock music in so many different ways. Voodoo Child (slight return) is the greatest guitar driven song ever written, hands down.

Hell yes! I own that shirt (albeit a bit faded) and it's my favorite of all my music apparel.

It's not something I wear to church or to my girlfriend's folks place, but anywhere else I could care less about what people think of a foxy chick with her tats censored.

I love this fucking guy. An awesome outright drummer but also a great singer with a unique rasp that gave The Eagles a harder rock edge. He made ‘Desperado’ a crooning cowboy ballad with balls, ‘Witchy Woman’ a jazzed up blues song, and of course ‘Hotel California’ the grand backwards reggae jam.

He is a total badass. I once paid eighty five dollars to go see solo Henley and he finally got on stage and he refused to play any Eagles songs. He played his shittier ballads (heart of the matter) and some other stuff I didn’t recognize and then flat out refused to play period. Instead he used the stage as a soapbox for his radically left political rant that lasted way too long. Eventually he turned on the crowd at one point by calling one guy an “Ignorant f*ck”. But whatever, it was all in good fun. He struck me as a lot like Axl, not only in his vocal style but also his attitude towards his former band (Eagles still hated each other at the time).

Henley rocks.

It sucks. Sorry, thats coming from a long time Eagles fan and someone who would place "Hotel California" on his list of favorite songs. I so wish that The Eagles were consistant with what they want to do. I liked the early country vibe they had going on with their first albums, but they really could have been a great 'rock' band if they had explored it a little bit more than one album (Hotel California).

Recently went through my old CD collection and discovered a disc I havent listened to since seventh grade. Shark Island's Law Of the Order is one of the great lost gems of rock, along with Izzy's first album. Paris Calling, Passion to Ashes, and a bunch of other tracks on the album are cool rock songs, and I'm not even a metal fan, it's good hard rock. Also recomended is the song my city off the Point Break soundtrack. Kinda cool listening to a band that was up there rocking it with GN'R, they have some similarities. I've also read all about Axl stealing Richard Black's act, and all I got to say is its obviously derivitive.
