obody posting any tunes? He's always been quality.
Recent albums when he's had the likes of Ginger and Dregen in the band have kicked a serious amount of arse as well.
I didn't think about that. Good call!
One of my favourites are Demolition 23. Lots of Ramones-vibes!
And of course some Hanoi Rocks. High School is a cool song from Two Steps From the Move
Welcome to The Jungle, anyone? ;-)
This thread should be named "Hanoi Rocks and associated".

As for a new GN'R album I think it's completely up to at least Axl, Slash and Duff if they want to pursue that project. If they are eager to record a new album and get along, they will do it. No matter what fans are saying.
But remember what happened last time Slash, Duff and Axl were in a studio together. I think they really want to avoid past mistakes. So a new album will probably not be released next year.
For me, they can record a new studio album - as long as it's a good one.

The thing with The latest MM albumis is that they are made by a band called Michael Monroe. It's not just Michael and some hired guns.
The same goes with their shows. They sound like a band, and they deliver.
Michael Monroe is the best rock singer!

I've never heard about them, but my curious mind led me to Google. Jeez, they are one hell of a movement!

Where?
It was in a Finnish newspaper. The woman interviewed worked with the concert in Hämeenlinna. I can try to find the article

I read an article where they interviewed a spokesperson for Live Nation, and she said GN'R are negotiating about tour dates next year. So probably it will not end yet.
However, it's sad that so many bands are only doing it for the nostalgia. So I wouldn't mind if they're calling it quits. They are currently a great band, so ending now would at least save the reputation of GN'R.

Hanoi Rocks is one of my favorite bands of all time. Michael's last few solo albums are some of the best rock albums released in the past 20 years. Easily.
Totally agree! I think they even sound more like Michael Monroe than the "Not Fakin It" album. That one had too much of a hair metal sound, althought I dig Dead, Jail and Rock and Roll.

Love him! He was fantastic in Hämeenlinna, Finland. Such a good performer. Imo he should have supported GNR more.
Yeah, that would be something! And pretty likely, because even Fortus and Ferrer have links to those guys.
And yes, I liked that show, too! Really good opening band.

Article from swedish-speaking newspaper Hufvudstadsbladet. A very good review!

I like the fact that they have a homage to Terminator 2 (Duff as a cyborg in the beginning of the screen). A good song for one of the greatest movies!

Actually I didn't quite hear what he said. Apparently he had a hard time pronouncing Hämeenlinna, because that's a very hard word to pronounce in english!

I liked the two roadies standing side by side on the stage. They really had a lot of work because of Mike playing around with the microphone stand.

Funny story...
Sami Yaffa (of mostly Hanoi Rocks but also New York Dolls fame) writes in his memoirs that Izzy had bought a new car after getting enough money for AFD. He asked Sami if he wanted to come for a ride, to which Sami agreed. They rolled around L.A by listening to "Straight outta compton" on repeat.

What happened on Layla?
A very minor incident. Something went wrong with the sound, so Axl had to restart the song. Probably the only incident/error/blunder I noticed.

Hello everyone! I'm pretty new here - this is my first post.
I went to the concert in Hämeenlinna, and I really liked how the band played yesterday! They were loud and everything went smoothly (besides that little "incident" on Layla).
I don't know if someone has mentioned it already, but Rane Raitsikka - former guitarist of Smack - acknowledged Duff wearing a Smack t-shirt on Instagram :-)
