Wow! They really brought their A game with the St. Louis love for this show! The McBob intro was great ... Duff came out wearing a "Streetside Records" (now defunct St. Louis chain) shirt, while Richard was wearing a "Kennedy's on the Landing" (old club downtown on the riverfront). Chuck Berry was the only music played on the PA prior to the concert, and Slash played some Johnny B Goode. Axl was in the best mood I've ever seen tonight, and brought up how happy he was to be back several times. He said that he was just thinking that last time he was in St. Louis was one year shy of being half his life ago. He told a weird story about meeting a girl in St. Louis who's boyfriend had the FBI investigating him and she said something about a meat locker ... I dunno it was hard to hear that, I'd like to hear what he was talking about there. But anyway, this was honestly the best show I've seen in years!
Axl was wearing a 'Coral Courts Motel' shirt too. No longer in business, but it's a STL treasure that was known for their 'hourly rates'.

Thanks for the BBQ recommendation. Sugarfire was right around the corner from my hotel. Went at 2:15 on Saturday afternoon, and the line was almost out the door. Fantabulous pulled pork.
I had a great time in ol' St. Louis. Lots to do there.
Excellent. It's a great place!! Glad you had fun here!

Was just down there. They hadn't opened up the merchandise trailer yet. They are waiting for the street next to the dome to close. There are around 40-50 people in line for the merchandise. I went around back and had the ladies show me the STL shirts. One is the same as the litho above with a 'retro' feel on the back. The other is a standard GnR logo on front with just St. Louis, July 27, 2017 on the back... She couldn't reach them to take them down for me to take a picture, so she just took a picture and showed me. Lots of people downtown with GnR shirts on.

Totally get that but as a kid who had a passing interest in American Football (handball, eggball, rugby with armour) as a kid I always knew them as the LA Rams cos I used to wear Raiders gear. Interest dwindled and had no idea they were in St Louis 20 years tbh.
Edit: which I know is daft, just havent kept it up. Can understand the anger, sports here in the UK and Ireland are def local things based on the religion of communities. Cant imagine our football teams moving cities. Just crazy to us.
Stan Kroenke is the owner of the Arsenal football club... and apparently he is not very liked there either.

To squeeze more $ out of the people. And for security reasons. Americans are fat. They can't stand that long. ;-) And they are sue happy. So unless a band doesn't insist on it being general amission and leaves it up to the promoter it usually is seated.
Plus they actuallly sell these as 'seats'... with section, row and seat #'s.. otherwise it would just be GA.

Were they not in LA first before they moved to St Louis though? (they were)
They were... but the irony of the whole thing is that the guy who moved them (Owner Stan Kroenke), was instrumental in bringing them from LA in the first place. He was a 40% owner, and when Georgia Frontiere died (majority owner), he bought the rest of the team (I believe in 2010), and promised to keep them in St. Louis, because he's a Missouri guy. They misled fans (and season ticket holders like myself) into saying they were staying, but had plans in the works as early as 2012/2013 to move them. So he's kind of a dick.

Per K-SHE 95 Facebook page, there is a GnR pre-party at DB's Sports Bar in Soulard (just south of downtown) from 4-6. 1615 S. Broadway.

Sorry, what is i know what ithe rams i not live in US?
The Rams were St. Louis' NFL football team. Their greedy owner moved them to Los Angeles in 2016 so he could double the value of the franchise.

If any forum members are down there and can report when they open up the merchandise trucks, I'd appreciate it... I work downtown and can head over and check it out before it gets crowded later.

Great/Free Parking across the river at the CASINO QUEEN in East St Louis. Safe and right by the train stop that will take you across the river and to the dome
The words 'safe' and 'East St. Louis' should never be used in the same sentence!

Maybe it could be like the Rams game - pay cheap price to get in upper bowl, and be down in lower bowl by halftime!

Other than maybe the alcohol I can't see 1 thing on that list that I'd want to bring to a concert.
Besides a missile, of course!

Go to Broadway oyster bar just down the street on Broadway, just past Busch stadium
Where are you staying - I can help you out from there. There is a good BBQ joint right by the dome though - Sugarfire. Great stuff.

iirc, doors open to public @ 5:30 & Deftones supposed to take the stage at 6:25 so not sure if time for another opening act. Zhivegas always a good time though.
I was at Riverport w/ my then GF & I didn't riot. I did get part of a seat & some canvas tarp some dude cut up right next to where I was standing though! Still remember seeing a bonfire on the lawn before the riot & dudes trying to rip up some tree's that had just been planted. We took off when I noticed the police helicopter. Quite an experience. IMO, nothing Axl did made those people tear shit up.
Did you see GnR open for Aerosmith a long time ago here in STL?? I think that was their first time here. They blew Aerosmith away.

You're joking right? Sarcasm I hope...lol.
Anyway, how is the local media, authorities, etc reacting to Guns N' Roses coming to town?
I'm not joking. I'm talking about the thousands of GnR fans that weren't there and weren't rioting. The city of STL and fans here had absolutely nothing to do with it. A few hundred drunk idiots at the concert doesn't mean everyone rioted.
To answer your question - not a lot has been said, but maybe tomorrow it will be more 'news worthy'.
