  1. HOWEVER, I do know a little about music. Hey Jude became so popular because 1. it was by the Beatles, I mean, c'mon and 2. the chorus... NAAA NAAA NAAAA NAAA NA NA NA NA. That's it, sing along....

In CITR, the chorus has a similar effect... NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA...

Catcher in the Rye sounds like it took 5 years to put together musically and then lyrics were added on top. You can tell that song fragments are matched together over who knows how many years. The Na Na part at the end was probably put there to sound more like the beatles because the song is about Lennons killer. i dont think its as good as the beatles.

  2. I wont say im cheated or disappointed but it is a curious move by Axl only playing the old songs..With the new songs on the setlist being clearly inferior to the older ones.

NUGNR will never get big using the current setlist

  3. Before Velvet Revolver i don't think i could think of one 14 year old i know who'd know who Scott was.

    R.

You live in England, but for some reason i dont think BuckCherry is big there either. STP never released an inferior song such as Crazy Bitch.

  4. I honestly think he not only has a better attitude about him than Scott, he's a better singer.

This song was manufactured solely to become a hit single. The rest of the album, rest assured, has better music and lyrics.

The song was manufactured to be a piece of shit maybe, but not a hit. It gets recognized on internet messege boards but otherwise its not a very good song. The lyrics really do suck. I'll admit its kinda fun song though.

  5. Q: You must have been in touch with people who were addicted to heroin, is it hard to quit all that? B: I

    have never seen it.

Axl does not admit it in his house or in his group. Not even smoking is allowed in the studio, never close to

him. You have to go out if you want to smoke. So I have never been around someone who is doing drugs.

Whatsup with this rule? For a rock band it sounds kind of gay.

  6. I like the pic with Tony Soprano better, cuz there both checking each other out slightly. In this phoot there both like "what the fuck?"

  7. Yeah that's the reason. It's because the Europian music scene is far superior to America. We are the big leagues on terms of music, Britain alone has produced: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rod Stewart, Oasis, U2, Rolling Stones etc. We provide the best crowds in the world. Bands enjoy seeing us as much as we enjoy seeing them.

However, whoever mentioned that it would be a 'homecoming' tour in America is probably right. They will make their grand return and probably begin in Los Angeles.

I thought GNR only scheduled one or two shows in Britian? The rest are somewhere out in Bumfuck, Scandenavia.

  8. I think he had his chance and his times slowly fading, and its been doing that for 14 years. I agree that hes just viewed as too old and unless he can crack into what would have to be a new genre for himself I can't see him making any real comeback, although I'm sure he well sell a few million CD's.

look at The Stones, they did fine.

Axl, by himself isnt The Stones.

  9. I've heard all the new leaks and the past GNR legacy has nothing to be worried about. Slash or Duff are not scared of Axl's new music.

The music and Axl's vocals are inferior to past GNR. 100% fact. How would anyone listen to Axl's vocals and compare to the older stuff and think the newer stuff is better? They dont. Alot of people complain about a lack of quality guiter work in these songs too. Thats troubling.

  10. I think it was removed out of respect for GNR fans, not that Slash or Scott actually felt sorry for Axl. Its still on the internet and messege boards. It would have looked classless to keep the statement up for a long period of time.

  11. None of the suits have even gone to trial yet. If S&D win the other two, this suit wont really do anything. This is just in case Axl wins, then he can possibly get money out of the whole thing.

Im curious if Axl's press release wasnt trying to get another lawsuit response from Slash for slander. Im curious because Axl really hasnt shown any desire to get the record out. I guess when he shows up on tour that will mean hes serious.

  12. ts probably better than any horse$hit country your from.

    nope, wrong.

Any country that gives themselves the right to arrest anybody from around the world,

to open their citiziens' mail if they see it as a threat,

and to bomb pretty much any country,

any country that could make the same mistake so many times,

can elect a president like Bush twice in a row,

makes a law that in order to flame someone on a forum you have to write your name in case they want to take you to court

is the worst, and i repeat, the fuckin WORST country on the face of the fuckin planet, so go suck major cock, america.

    (...)

I get so tired of people like you. You don't know anything about anything, yet you claim to know everything.

    (...)

Oh, you've a great argument here. By the way, let us keep the current topic, because we all know how *NORTH* america is sucking more and more everyday. Let me write it again, NORTH america. Do you still remember that there's central and south america, right? We can't blame them about all this uncle sam crap.

Wake me up when september ends or when north america starts believing again that they're not the center of the universe, whatever comes first. Thanks and i still hope that the good things that came from that country, including Guns and Roses, will survive.

The country is still good, its the inordiate amount of cultures that come from the outside that has begun to cheapen the US. Sad but true. North American culture is dying.
