The fact that he doesn't do interviews, doesn't release new music, used to wear Che Guevara (not the hero most people think) and Charles Manson tshirts etc. - its hard to fathom how he now identifies with "the left" and makes the effort to regularly comment against Trump on Twitter.

Makes me feel there must be some specific thing/issue... or maybe he just watches too much "fake news"

I'll go with this ^^. I would  think that Axl pays very little attention to the world of politics. And when you do that unfortunately your only soundbite is Main Stream Media in passing, and by their account you would think Trump is the devil himself.

Or maybe BETA and the immigrant thing

  2. My Dad has always bought me everything, but my business is doing well and I need to get out from under his roof and do something on my own, My Dad's real estate business is in Atlanta and an architect friend he works with is designing mine for me, he did this one too.

big year ahead for me hopefully, this is the model the design is based on, different interiors and slightly different gable height, but I want the front to look just like this one, and already purchased the property

    Spoiler

And the current PM is their son Justin Trudeau, so chances are especially good.  Here's his wife singing a song she wrote for her daughter at a MLK Day event (for no other reason than because she's also a bit touched):

you kind of would have to be expected to be a drinker if this is represents the entertainment  one might come upon

  4. I saw Buckethead on stage with Primus at a small venue outside of Hollywood before he played with Axl. His guitar was amazing. I also saw him with Axl on tour probably 2003 maybe. I'd go see him again.

  5. I always thought of the cover in it's simplicity, that old broken down bike and it's oversized basket is a very common scene in parts of impoverished communist China. With the words Guns N Roses sprawled on the wall meaning the music is bigger than circumstance.

    Too deep? :P

  6. oh no. I'm posting in a Charles Manson thread, again.:o

we are inherently good people, as created. We stray because we are weak, and because we can. For me personally I think because I was raised with strong Christian values I am able to feel empathy, respect and the entire host of virtues that allow most of us  to live in peace and harmony.  default reaction in being in a bad situation, or by someone seeking a confrontation is to go to my faith, every time. Life isn't fair but so what.

I also happen to believe if that upbringing is force fed, it has a reverse affect. I have seen this first hand in people I associate with. In the case of Manson I think the absence of these values being instilled at an early age, the rejection and hopelessness of his trying to wander through youth alone led to him allowing evil to somehow comfort him. Same I assume with his followers.

It doesn't take much for any of us to go off the rails and lash out in anger, even to the point and level of the evil we see in these lost souls of infamy. Whether it be Manson, Hitler, or the guy next door it is certainly in us.

The constant in faith is reminding yourself to be forgiving. And realizing the reward may only be in contentment, for now.

  7. I don't think charisma is the right word in a Charles Manson description. Charisma invokes charm, of which he had none.

There once was in his early days no doubt a certain power, by way of his mystique. Him being older and his offering of a place to stay, the chance of belonging to something. The safety in numbers for people who felt like outcasts. But Charisma is way too much credit to the derelict he was.

We maybe should stop talking about him now.
