1. Nightrain
No song ever gives as much energy as this song does over and over again. Live versions are intense, even today.
2. Estranged
When I'm in the mood, this song is absolutely orgasmic in it's vibe. When I'm just listening to it on an ordinary day, it's still an amazing song that just does it for me.
3. Don't Cry
The first GnR song I've learned to love and still is one of my all time favorites. It's also a very relatable song for anyone who has ever felt heartbroken, I guess.
4. Better
When the song kicks in after the first verse ("The hardest part...") just sets the tone immediately and it keeps rocking from there on.
5. Don't Damn Me
Love the guitar, love the lyrics. And absolutely love the drums. Masterpiece that can always get me go crazy.
TWAT, YCBM, Paradise City, WTTJ and Move to the City are the songs that complement my top ten. The order of songs varies on a regular basis but Nightrain is definitely my favorite at any time of the day.

Only found out about this album ten years too late. Now, it's like my guilty pleasure. I listen to it more than any other CD I own. I don't think I really dislike any track, but there are a few I would skip every now and then, because I'm just not in the mood. The first eight songs of my list I listen to frequently and enjoy them every single time.
1) There was a Time
2) Better
3) Madagascar
4) Chinese Democracy
5) This I Love
6) Street of Dreams
7) Prostitute
8) Sorry
9) Catcher in the Rye
10) Scraped
11) Shackler's Revenge
12) If the World
13) I.R.S.
14) Riad N' the Bedouins

So this is going to be my first ever GnR concert (actually first concert ever in general). How late should I arrive at Goffertpark to be able to obtain a relatively fine spot in General Admission? Is there a good atmosphere/view throughout the whole park, or are some places better or worse to stand during the concert?
The "New Album" Thread. Thanks to the long ass thread, I’m going home!

Absurd - 5
A decent song live, and I like the riff. The lyrics mean nothing to me and it doesn't really hit me in anyway. The break/bridge feels out of place too.
Hard Skool - 7
A fun song. A simple song but it's catchy and has that recognizable Slash solo that just make a goold old GnR song complete. Again, the break with all the 'hey hey' holds the song back. Needed some strong vocal lines, but had none. Could have been a 7+ or even an 8- if it wasn't for the bridge.
Perhaps - 7
A bit more sophisticated than Hard Skool, but still a lot cleaner than other NuGnR material.
Biggest issue: the song is almost 4 minutes long, but offers nothing new after 2:15 (solo). It's just the first 1:30 minutes repeated.
Small issue: I don't understand the high pitched note at the start of the solo. It feels like something weeping is coming, but than it fades away (unnaturally) and it goed to a lower sound. I feels like that high part shouldn't be there.
The General - 5+
Listened to it like 10 times now. The first two listens I didn't know what I was listening to. Then it started to make sense. It's not a song for me. Too much going on with the layered vocals overlapping each other. I like Axl's voice, but not altered like that. Again, it's a song that just repeats itself like Perhaps. The solo at the end would have been better without Axl singing over/with it.
Monsters - 7+
Still a vague song, but a lot cleaner than The General. Would have been a 6+ if it wasn't for the strong Slash solo and the bridge. That's the Axl I want to hear. That's what really makes this a song I would want to listen to on its own merit and not just because I feel like I should because it's a GnR song and I love GnR.
Bonus point for the different second verse.
