Oh, OK. I wasn't aware that you had no idea what you were talking about when you started posting about the topic.

It's probably best for you to educate yourself on the subject before making an attempt to sound knowledgeable.

Straw man argument that does nothing to dispute the laws I stated.

Maybe it is you that needs to educate themselves on actual federal statutes and focus less on emotional whining about nonnegotiable policies.

Just because something was once done a certain way doesn’t signify that it can’t be changed at any point as long as legal statutes support the change.

Plenty of actual facts have been posted, you just continue to choose not to see that.

Fact: people claiming to act on behalf of GNR and Team Brazil threatened families over concert videos being posted on YouTube.

That is heresay and drama as far as I can see, not fact.

The federal statutes I cited are law.

Wow! Some people just love drama. Awesome! You stopped being a fan because you got your content pulled down. Now do you have to come on to a fan forum to seek attention and tell people you stopped being a fan as a result?  Kudos to you for not being a fan anymore.

Have you ever given the thought that  maybe GNR, management,  or whoever has that right considering that it is intellectual property? You don't have to like it, but you have to respect and see it from their side as well. Besides there is still content online regarding old videos.

Just enjoy the music and live life. Life is too short for stuff like this.

    This.

A lot of drama and emotional outbursts here that take no actual facts into consideration and won’t change a thing.

That's not at all what's happening. People are reacting to a situation caused by GN'R and Team Brazil that resulted in fans having their families threatened.

I'm curious since you brought up the law last time; how do you think the law effects a band and it's management encouraging people to act on their behalf who end up threatening the families of others?

No clue, I didn’t see any threats here only whining and complaining.

This is however is law and not being taken into consideration.

Federal law, namely 17 U.S.C. § 1101 imposes civil penalties for the unauthorized recording of live performances or the transmission or distribution of such. This is true even if the bootlegging is not done for commercial gain. The statute provides that anyone who engages in these prohibited acts is potentially liable for money damages. A court may also impound applicable recordings.

Similarly, 18 U.S.C. Section 2319(a), which makes bootlegging a criminal offense if the perpetrator -- without the consent of the applicable artist -- knowingly records a live musical performance or distributes such a recording, and does so for commercial gain.

Like Lio said, these videos were not being monetized on the fan's side of things.

Have you ever watched a youtube video of a song that was uploaded by someone other than the band? Or fan cell phone footage of a show by a band you dig?  All in all for GNR to treat those things like the enemy is stupid, no other way around it

So anybody that doesn't think like you do or share your viewpoint is stupid?

This whol topic is ridiculous and is only a bunch of people complaining and calling GNR names because they can't get things their way.

Only a couple of people with sane posts that reflect reality. Sad.

99 percent of the people at shows are not part of the GNR online community.

You overestimate the influence of your Yourube channels.

The NITL tour was a huge success critically and financially. All the shows started pretty much on time.  No shows were cancelled.

Del is a loyal friend and great manager.

Just because he doesn’t shoot his mouth off like Niven or Goldstein does not make him a bad person  or ass kisser

None of us know Axl well enough to know what is good for him. He is private

People here need to realize that copyright infringement comes under white collar crime

if the copyright holder wants to enforce the law it is their legal right to do so .

Definition of white collar crime from

    wilipedia

White-collar crime (or corporate crime, more correctly) refers to financially motivated, nonviolent crime committed by business and government professionals.[1] Within criminology, it was first defined by sociologist Edwin Sutherland in 1939 as "a crime committed by a person of respectability and high social status in the course of their occupation".[2] Typical white-collar crimes could include fraud, bribery, Ponzi schemes, insider trading, labor racketeering, embezzlement, cybercrime, copyright infringement, money laundering, identity theft, and forgery.[3] Lawyers can be specialized in white-collar crime.[4]

This. Plus, comedians are known to exaggerate for the purpose of being funny -- that's what they do. Accusing a comedian of "lies and innuendo" for embellishing a story to be funny is just kind of silly. Even Fernando (perhaps sarcastically) said it was a funny sketch. It's also from almost a year ago.

It is also a reason to doubt the veracity of the afore mentioned storyteller, for the very reasons you listed above, plus his history which I referenced earlier in regards to the gun control monologue.

I'm aware of when it surfaced online, I agree that it is entertaining, just not factual imo.

 You do you, as they say.

There's no "rumor and innuendo" and there's certianly not any "angendas" here btw. All that's happening is that we are discussing a story that a comedian told about meeting Axl Rose.

:)Fair enough, we can simply agree to disagree.

There is more than enough reasonable doubt for me to not take this alleged story as anything other than a rumor, which is by definition an unverified story or a currently circulating story or report of doubtful credibility.

So while there may be no demonstrable agenda, this certainly meets every established criteria for rumor.
