This is what i know
In America Epiphone puts out the G-1275 Custom
Its $800
Gibson Custom Shop puts out the EDS-1275
Its around $3000
I received an EDS as a gift and it is well worth the 3000

Hey man, everyone has their own style. There's no right way to play.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
thanks, check out the one that's up now, i edited it and tuned it better
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
dude...calm down...It's the blues...try to get the notes right instead of cramming as many of those fast licks you've been working soo hard to learn in there...honestly...the whole thing still just sounds off...
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
ok, i'll make sure to be out of tune from now on, jeez.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
chill out bro, so blues aint your thing, you gave it a try and got burned. you still got more balls than 90% of the world for doing it in the first place. your a really talented player. ive heard some other stuff youve posted. dont get all discouraged
-
Ok here's one I just recorded, not too happy with it, but I've had worse haha

if you look carefully one is a 12 string and one is fretless
that provides two different necks to use in different situations.
the other three i believe he keeps in different tunings. and one of them has a tremelo bar on it. just different guitars for different situations combined into one
he doesnt play more than one at the same time, which i know is what some of you were thinking
-
its perfectly do-able, i did it
it did probably take me twice as long as someone with lessons however.
-
shear genius

People tell me I play a lot like Slash.
I Play a Gibson Les Paul most of the time
I use Ernie Ball 11s
I like to pick open chords apart when writing slower songs and play power chords over them.
I shred through pentatonic, minor, dorian, ionian scales during my solos. I use slides ALOT. I use hammer ons and pulloffs during descending lines only. Depending on the song I use a lot of massive and sustained bends. I like to backtrack through patterns and overlap notes.
I usually play in either standard tuning, Drop-D, Half Step Down, or Drop-C
I use my bridge pickup much more than my neck but lately ive been using my neck a lot.

not so much my dream guitar being that i already own it(my dream guitar that is, not this one) but the current object of my guitar playing desire
-
im pretty sure the KOHD solo is almost completely pentatonic based if i remember correctly
-
this is probably something that should be in anything goes
-
i learned dont cry in about 5 minutes.
nightrain wasnt exceedingly difficult. not counting the outro
-
hardest gnr song to play?
Paradise City.
It took me forever to get that outro down but even the opening lick has a very awkward rhythym to it.
as for the SCOM solo while it was sorta difficult to tab it isnt all that difficult to play.
-
haha spud's at the FDR memorial.
i took that same picture once.
-
ibanez sells a package tahts pretty decent
the guitar is still good. i still have mine sitting next to my les paul. its a lot better than some of the other stuff out there. the amp isnt nothing to rave about but it gets the job done.
-
the burstbucker is a very versatile pick up but crash diet is right. its pretty bright. the duncans are hotter and give you a heavier sound
-
the bottom 6 is fretless and yea he probably keeps them in different tunings.
although for show is also a possibility
-
i play in a band called blood red intent. weve covered a bunch of gnr tunes and even some vr ones. dont have any recordings though. hitting the studio in a couple of weeks though
-
I use one with my boss DS-1, its a pretty sweet sound for only 80 bucks worth of equipment. its pretty versatile and i can get some sweet sounds out of it. come to think of it ive never used the ts-7 by itself
-
UK band called Dragon force. listen to them and try and play that fast.
